The Record Winter
"If you’re looking for a great quality quiet indie rock band, The Record Winter just might make your cut. This California four piece have found a niche in playing slow, dreamy rock that’s absolutely hard not to fall for.
The crew has stemmed up from a once thriving San Jose scene and together they create a special portion of the local music scene with their ever melodic and sweet indie rock. This self-titled debut contains 10 beautiful tracks that makes you want to float away into a landscape of dreams. Most of the cuts on the record are available for download on their Last FM page but if you want to help out the band a bit, you can buy the album by heading over to their BandCamp site."
The Horse's Mac
Formed in 2010 with the release of Dan Hanley's album by the same name, The Horse's Mac was originally an acoustic duo featuring Hanley and longtime partner in all things music and mischief, Matt Lynch. The two spent three years enjoying all the musical misadventures one might expect hopping around the clubs and bars of San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Cruz, Sacramento and beyond...
Which brings us to the summer of 2013 where The Horse's Mac are pleased to announce the addition of an amazing rhythm section most worthy of The Horse's Mac name. The Mac now features Sky Harris (formerly of Laaz Rockit) on drums and Lucas Brown (formerly of FASTER FASTER) on bass. This incarnation of The Mac will be playing electric shows starting this July, performing material from all four of Hanley's albums. As far as genre is concerned, The Horse's Mac is primarily a rock n' roll band drawing inspiration everywhere.
