Old Man Brown, The Jenny Leigh Band

Old Man Brown

Old Man Brown has, from their first downbeat in 2001, been seeking the source of soul, real soul in American music. That part of a song that transcends any one chord, melody or lyric to touch people in a place that can only be enriched by rhythm and harmony. OMB’s material whether it be blues, funk, rock or gospel music all has one tie that binds… soul.

The Jenny Leigh Band

Jenny Leigh's sound is an electric combination of the singer's city girl lifestyle and country girl background, and her songs are fused with hints of soul and pop. Inspired by relationships, ups and downs, and lessons learned along the way, her original heart-felt lyrics paired with her unforgettable voice ring clear and true. After releasing her 4-track demo in 2009, her song "Set Me Free" fell into regular rotation almost instantly on Washington DC's WMZQ 98.7 and Baltimore's WPOC 93.1 radio. She was featured as Artist of the Month on WPOC 93.1 and the station sponsored a live performance during their Charm City Country Show to support the release.

Alicia Maxwell and Kenny Jones

Growing up in Wilmington, Delaware, Alicia has always been surrounded by music. Whether it was at home, school or church, it’s always been a major part of her life. At the age of 15, Alicia’s mom took her to her first blues jam; however, nerves got the best of her and she wouldn’t get on stage. Eventually after landing a solo performance her senior year in high school, Alicia gained the confidence to join other musicians at local open mic nights. It didn’t take long for Alicia to get her foot in the door. She met many talented players that took her under their wings, including Kenny Jones, Jimmy Pritchard, and Jake Banaszak, B.J Muntz, and Paul Weik. Alicia’s influences include Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt, Koko Taylor, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Sean Costello, Grace Potter, Shemekia Copeland and Gina Sicilia, among many others.
