Generation Esmeralda

Generation Esmeralda, featuring original lead singer Jimmy Goings is the EXCLUSIVE tribute to the music of "Santa Esmeralda", and includes members of the original touring band: Tom Poole (Malo, Etta James, Boz Skaggs, Tommy Castro) Tony Baker (the DeFranco Family, the Drifters), and Mick Valentino (Eddie Harris, Roger Smith, Jerry Goodman). Perhaps best known for their hit disco remakes of the 1960s hits "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" and "House of the Rising Sun", the group Santa Esmeralda is now Generation Esmeralda featuring Jimmy Goings.

Generation Esmeralda's sound is a savant mix of high energy Latin rock dance grooves with melodic hooks, a gypsy-infused Flamenco style and impressive guitar licks, augmented with a splash of cha-cha and punctuated by a driving 4-piece horn section. With band members Greg Jones on bass; Patrick Morehead on keyboards; Mike Rinta on trombone; Steffen Kuehn on trumpet; Roberto Quintana on percussion and the newest additions of 'T' Moran on drums along with Louis Fasman on trumpet, this band is poised for greatness. The impressive performances by this unique ensemble are now bringing joy to fans both young and old.

Originally formed as a production project in 1976 by Jeanne-Manuel de Scarano and Nicholas Skorsky in Paris, France. Santa Esmeralda was inspired by the heroine of the same name from the Victor Hugo Classic "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". The group has come back together through the urging of trumpet player, Tom Poole, from the original "Santa Esmeralda Touring Band" and Brazilian promoter, Sergio Lopes. Goings and Poole have assembled a world-class band, and are touring this exclusive tribute to the spirit and music of Santa Esmeralda.

Tudo Bem

TUDO BEM is a Brazilian greeting that means “everything is fine”. Tudo Bem is also one of the most long lived bands in Sonoma County. For over ten years we have been playing at wineries, hotels, private parties and nightclubs in Northern California. We customize an assortment of Rock, Reggae, Rhythm & Blues, Latin, Country, Jazz and Blues to keep the dance floor full and the listeners enthralled.

Dave Aguilar * Guitar, Slide guitar, Percussion, Vocals *
Dave’s guitar chops have been honed over many years and hundreds (thousands?) of live gigs and recording sessions. He plays rhythm guitar just as well as he plays his blistering solos. His Texas background adds that touch of blues to all performances. Dave is also featured in the “Norton Buffalo and Friends” band. Since Dave also runs sound systems for events he knows how to get the sound just right for Tudo Bem gigs.

Peter McCauley * Bass Guitar, Keyboards, Percussion, Vocals *
Peter is a Brazilian that was somehow born into an Irish-American family. (Just kidding, he’s really an Anglo.) Raised in Southern California Peter has spent a lot of time in Brazil soaking up the music and culture. You can hear this influence in every Tudo Bem performance. Peter and Dave’s vocals are a match made in heaven. You sometimes wonder how only two guys can sound like so much more.

Pat O’Connell * Drums, Percussion *
Pat was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan during the heyday of the Motown era. He even got to shake the hand of famous Motown drummer Benny Benjamin (hasn’t washed it since). Pat’s musical interests range far beyond his Motown influences and he still performs with big bands and small jazz groups when the opportunities arise. This experience brings authenticity to the variety of styles that Tudo Bem plays.
