Monday Night Residency with Torches

T O R C H E S are a rock outfit that have been hypnotizing and swooning the Los Angeles scene. Singer/guitarist Azad Cheikosman and bassist, Bridgette Moody formed this band with during what was a relationship. Azad and drummer, Eric Fabbro had been bashing away at their instruments in a hot and sweaty garage for about 4-5 years before she came in to lay down the root. The band previously consisted of five members, but went down to a more cohesive number of three. Bridgette learned how to play bass the same week that the band was set to play a show in Los Angeles back in 2010. Although she has left the band, Azad and Eric continue their journey, new bass player and all.

Their music has been aired on KROQ, KCRW, KPFK, KXLU and many stations all across the U.S. They have also been featured in BBC, LA Times, Filter Magazine, RCRD LBL, Buzz Bands LA etc. The band has played mostly every nook and cranny in packed L.A. venues and have shared the stage with bands such as Sea Wolf, Andrew W.K., and other great acts. They've toured throughout the US and played at SXSW and CMJ 2012. Torches have been fortunate enough to work with Local Natives' producer, Raymond Richards, David Newton (The Soft Pack, The Henry Clay People, Happy Hollows) and Mark Chalecki who has mastered records for some of today's most intriguing artists (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bright Eyes, Silversun Pickups, Liars, Sunn O))), Brian Jonestown Massacre). This trio is excited to put out records, pet as many animals as humanly possible, see the world, meet weird looking people, share experiences and much more.

We make music in a way that makes us happy. We are writers, watchers, painters and listeners. We come together to bring our ideas into the light. MT. OSSA is our music and we are proud of it. People have called our music anything from surf rock and psych-pop, to dream disco and soul fuzz; we’re okay with that. We’re okay with presenting to the observer an opportunity to imagine and experience. Ever expanding, and limitless is who we are. Loving what we do is not hard. Color and light and shapes and terrestrial bodies are all things that inspire us, but our love for music is what drives us to be MT. OSSA

Owl Fly South

Meet OWL FLY SOUTH. They are a rock and roll four-piece from UCLA who destroy brains and melt faces. Their blazing songs stare you straight in the face and don't look away until they come crashing to a close. One moment, they conjure up a storm of blistering garage rock fury. Soon after, you may find yourself floating suspended in waves of psychedelic ambient sound and noise. Moments later, you are bouncing to Beatles-esque pop fit for a summer sunset. Echoed vocals, sweet mellotrons, fuzzy guitars, and pummeling drums combine to create Owl Fly South's powerful rock and roll. In general, the music harkens back to the vintage vinyl sounds of the 60s and 70s, with the more free elements of modern music. These tunes are aimed skyward.

Breakfast is a Los Angeles-based band comprised of Andrea Adolph, Max Bussell, Sean Dwyer, and Luciano Russo.
