Nat Osborn Band

Nat Osborn Band

New York native Nat Osborn is a restless soul. He has studied tabla in India, played guitar on the streets of Budapest, written songs on Spanish balconies, packed venues across NYC, and been deported from the U.K., all before the age of 25. A natural and prolific songwriter, his fluency in crossing genres creates a unique and truly original sound.

With nearly a decade of performance, songwriting, and band leading experience under his belt, Osborn set out in 2011 to assemble a seven-piece powerhouse ensemble, “The Nat Osborn Band.” Osborn’s raspy vocals and euphoric hooks, matched with the band’s dangerously tight rhythm section and powerful three piece horn section has resulted in sold out shows at Rockwood Music Hall stage 2, Brooklyn Bowl, Cameo Gallery and many other North East venues and colleges. Having performed with the likes of Paul Simon, Wynton Marsalis, Ludacris, and Marc Broussard, Osborn’s seasoned bandmates have created a completely undeniable performance unit with a truly captivating sound.

New Sound Brass Band

New Sound Brass Band is the heart and soul of the Philadelphia Mummers parade . NSB is a band that brings to together a lot of different backgrounds, personalities and traditions. Mixing gospel brass traditions which finds roots in slave spirituals, the christian word, west african music, blues, jazz with mummers noise which comes out of the melodic stringband sound, classical, big band, jazz ,slavic brass and traditional irish or celtic music. NSB in a way is a folk band meaning that our music reflects our culture and geographic location, we are not a band trying to be anything but ourselves. Our sound is unique, the mummers street beat combined with the gospel horn set up is something more Philadelphia than cheesesteaks and if perceived correctly is brass assault on our societal decadence.
