Sarah & The Meanies

Sarah & The Meanies

A melting pot of Soul/Pop/Rock, Sarah & The Meanies have emerged from the burgeoning Denver music scene. Fronted by Portland-transplant, Sarah Angela, who has a voice to be reckoned with and an arsenal of powerful songwriting to back it up.

Within a year of formation, The Meanies have headlined Red Rocks Amphitheater, been featured artists at Austin's South by Southwest, and their latest video was nominated for best music video at the STARZ Film Festival, alongside Nine Inch Nails and MGMT. The band wrapped recording their new single with Bill Stevenson/Jason Livermore at The Blasting Room (Rise Against, Flobots, Gaslight Anthem, Train, Lydia) and the song is now available on iTunes / Spotify.

Hands off the ground and buried in a lifetime of musical obsession, Meanies front-woman, Sarah Angela, has roots that run wide. You might reference the styles of Lorde, Otis Redding, Grace Potter, or Sia; but despite some of her influences, she's got her own unique sound. One thing's for sure, she sings bigger and louder than her five foot frame would have you assume.

Sarah Slaton

Sarah Slaton is eager. She's eager to know you and make you her friend. The second you meet her, she won't shake your hand, she'll give you a hug. It's infectious. And then there's her music. Her honest lyrics will speak to you no matter what you're going through because she's been where you are. Her live performance is soulful and captivating. She captures the human condition better than most folk artists ever have. She will make you feel.

In recent years Sarah has been seen sharing the stage with grammy-nominated Jennifer Knapp, Nathaniel Rateliff, Jay Brannan, Matt Morris, Nico Vega, Danielle Ate The Sandwich, Sick of Sarah, Speakeasy Tiger (warped tour 2010), The Spring Standards, Catherine Feeny, Sara Haze, and many more.
