The Victorian Dining Room Series

Monday night enjoy a free acoustic stripped-down show from some of your favorite local artists in our 125 year old dining room.

Chet Williams

Chet got into the saxophone as early as 4th grade. Since then, he's played the Scranton Jazz Festival two years in a row and played a number of other great jazz gigs. He's studied privately with Marko Marcinko, jazz drummer for the late Maynard Ferguson, and Jim Buckley, a professional saxophonist from the Scranton Area. He's taken classes with Phil Woods, Bob Dorough, Dave Leibman, and many other jazz greats.

As far as rock music goes, he's shared the stage with Less Than Jake, Mayday Parade, The Spill Canvas, The White Tie Affair, Person L, Drop Out Year, Endless Mike and the Beagle Club, Bayside, I Am the Avalanche, Dr. Manhattan, and countless other national acts. He's played well over 100 shows in over 10 states (and counting). He played Warped Tour 2009, The Knitting Factory in NYC, Penn State's Movin' On Festival two years in a row, Steamtown Original Music Showcase, and many other great rock venues.

Chet is currently working on his first solo album, "We All Walk Fast and Nod in Unison", due to release sometime in the spring 2011. Stay tuned for updates!

Chelsea Mitchell

Since first emerging on the Philadelphia folk scene in 2005, singer-songwriter Chelsea Mitchell has become known for powerful vocals and raw lyrical honesty. Her wide repertoire reflects many styles and eras, but most listeners compare her clear, expressive voice to songbirds of the seventies – namely, Joni Mitchell (no relation).

Peter Joseph, Mitchell’s musical partner, complements live performances with banjo, melodica, and electric guitar. Together they will release "Married in the Aviary," a new EP for the spring of 2013.
