Castle, Cleanteeth, Belus

Tharsh infused Doom Metaller's CASTLE will release their second album "Blacklands" on September 11th on their new North American label PROSTHETIC RECORDS. 'Blacklands', the band's second album, was recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California and produced by Billy Anderson (Neurosis, Eyehategod, Sleep). "It's an altogether different beast to 'In Witch Order'" is how Mat describes it. "The debut took five years start-to-finish, whereas the new one was done relatively quickly, in six months. It was deliberate on our part to do it like that. We wanted to have a live feel and an edginess to the album and I think we got that. It sounds bigger and hits harder. And I wanted the songs to be epic. There were elements of that on our debut but I deliberately set out to achieve that with most of these songs."

Cleanteeth was formed in early 2008 as an experimental noise project, and have since evolved into a crushing array of doom metal and electronic noise. Influenced by the likes of Karp, Butthole Surfers, Godflesh, My Bloody Valentine and armed with more full stacks than band members, the four-piece takes a wall of sound approach to creating its bastard blend of metal, noise, and rock.
