The New Music Series

The New Music Series

This event was created to continue to pull together the scene here in Philadelphia. A scene that we all are proud to be a part of, dedicated to, and create within. Promoting the whole show, supporting all the bands/musicians, networking, and learning more about the people around you who share the same passion for music is what this night is all about. We appreciate each act sharing their music with us and putting their own stamp on the North Star's New Music Series.

20 Minute Tango

20 Minute Tango has been playing together for 2 years and counting.
They are based out of West Chester PA and the Philadelphia area and are expecting to release their first album entitled "Lights in the Sky" in Sept. of 2011. Thanks for listening and let us know what you think.

Pretty Dittys

The Pretty Dittys produce an array of attractive yet simple songs by
means of intricate workmanship and dedication. Their artisanship
is influenced by genres such as American Folk, Eastern European Folk, and Folk Jazz. Established in the year of 2012, The Pretty Dittys hail from the great town of West Chester, PA. This musical act was originally conceived in the mind of AJ Thomas and gestated upo
n the first gathering of what was to become The Pretty Dittys. Through stylings of AJ Thomas in coordination with Steve Harman, Alex Pedrick, Melanie Peterson, and Matthew Willoughby, The Pretty Dittys were brought into this world with a driving sense of composure, fueled by each other’s’ wholeheartedness towards the music they have procreated.

Devils Triangle

We all know what goes into the Bermuda Triangle but scientists know very little about what comes out of it. We have put inconceivable amounts of financing, time, and effort into determining such things. Results have been inconclusive.

Elk Rhythms

Folky, acoustic solo guitar/vocals project called Elk Rhythms. He has a couple of EPs up for free download on his Bandcamp page, both of which are well worth investigating. For proof, just listen/download the upbeat strum and Simon & Garfunkel-ish harmonies of Concrete Kings (from Elk Rhythms EP) or his version of Bon Iver’s Flume (from Covers EP).

$5.00 - $7.00
