This event is 21 and over
Coming out of New York City, Chris Malinchak is a legendary house producer and one of the most well known of the French Express crew. He brings a sound of Nu Disco, Funk and House that sounds more like an entire band's composition than one man working with electronics, a feeling that to his extent is hard to come by. His driving beats pair with such a natural grasp on musical composition to create an act that can't be missed.
Jonas Rathsman born in 1980 and raised far from urban vanity, neon lights and contemporary club culture in a small village in Western Sweden. Music was always central in his adolescence, but the true passion for music would come later in life. After becoming a household name at the age of 18 organizing parties in Gothenburg, he decided to turn to music production. Flash forward to last year, after deciding to step away from close friend DJ Nibc and their project Stuffa, Jonas decided to expose himself further to the industry by abandoning all pseudonyms and releasing his work under his own name. The result of this process was his debut EP "Tobago", which was released on French Express in December 2011. As a creative at heart, Jonas Rathsman is also the co-owner and producer behind the collective and fashion brand Uniforms for the Dedicated. He is currently scheduled to tour in Europe and visit some of club music´s most prestigious venues. His music is getting more recognizing by the day for its organic and playful flair, stimulating vocals and classic club flow.
Moon Boots entered the world in the mid-1980s via Cape Canaveral. After years of service as the preferred footwear of celebrity astronauts (notably Tom Hanks), Moon Boots came to life during a classified experiment aboard the International Space Station. Little is known of what actually transpired aboard the shuttle, but in short, Moon Boots became a sentient creature, equipped with reason, intuition, and groove. Before long, he grew tired of working for the space-military-industrial complex and found solace in the soothing sounds of underground disco and R&B boogie records. He knew it was only of matter of time before he was hung up like so many boots before him. He abandoned the program and used his savings to build a music-production studio in an unnamed U.S. location, where he is currently working.
Look out for releases in the coming months including a Little Boots remix, his track 'Running From' on Kitsune's summer mix and finally a Moonsoon Season remix. Much more to come from Moonboots!
