The Party Monsters

The Party Monsters are a powerful 5-woman good time party dance band playing R&B, Motown and New Orleans Blues favorites. The band’s energy is contagious, and the varied mix of upbeat music appeals to crowds of all ages. From the first note, audiences sing along and head for the dance

The group consists of two lead vocalists, guitar, keyboards, bass and drums, and can be expanded to add a wailing sax or a tight horn section. The band prides itself on its tight show and professional work ethic.

The Party Monsters have been playing together in different configurations for more than 20 years, and share decades of professional experience and a love of R&B, Motown, and their funk and soul offshoots. With a busy schedule of Festivals, concerts and parties, The Party Monsters bring good fun, good vibes and good music to every stage they command.

Drummer and bandleader Jean Fineberg is also known for her saxophone work on such recordings as We Are Family by Sister Sledge, Freak Out/Le Freak by Chic and
Fame by David Bowie.

Jean has performed and/or recorded with Luther Vandross, Patti LaBelle, and Laura Nyro, among many others. These days she is having a ball playing drums and performing with her longtime colleagues in The Party Monsters.

Ruby's in Town

Ruby's in Town is a predominantly women's band playing R&B and old soul.

Bay Area music veterans include Andrea Pritchett on lead vocals, Jessie Ortiz on keyboard, Nzingah on sax and flute, Judy Graboyes on drums, Chris Cooper on guitar, and Suzanne Falter and Janet Rachel on backup vocals.
