Amulets is the solo project of Portland-based audio + visual artist Randall Taylor. Amulets employs handmade cassette tape loops and live processed guitar loops to create live, lush soundscapes and immersive drones. Through the recontextualisation of cassettes, sampling, field recording, and looping, these long-form compositions blur the genres of ambient, drone, noise, and electronic music.
BlankFor.ms creates sonic experiences. Originally from the Wind River area of rural Wyoming, BlankFor.ms' work centers around the meeting ground of dense harmony and rich textures. He uses analog synthesizers, degraded tapes, and an upright piano to create sounds meant more for the body than the mind. His work has found its way into films, stage productions, and his recent album Works for Tape and Piano is available via Puremagnetik Records.
"Eric Pitra creates electronic music for film and album release under his own name and as well as Nature Program. He scored the award-winning documentary Cassette. His company Landscape creates experimental electronic instruments influenced by obsolete technology with interfaces that invite intimate human involvement within electronic sound creation.
