bea miller

Rising star Bea Miller has a lot of experience at a young age, but she is discovering new power, and new maturity, in her music. With a series of bold new songs being released in the coming months, and working alongside a group of challenging and stellar collaborators, the 20-year-old is truly coming into her own as a singer, songwriter, and performer.

“it’s not u it’s me,” is the first in a string of songs that Miller will be releasing throughout 2019. The infectious, moody single, featuring 6lack, is indicative of a new direction, clarity, and boldness which Miller attributes to connecting with Justin Tranter (Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, Fall Out Boy) and Mike Sabath (Liam Payne, J Balvin, French Montana). Bea also worked with Sabath and Tranter on the follow-up single, “feel something,” which she points to as a breakthrough in her willingness to open up in her songwriting.

Miller, who has previously toured with the likes of Fifth Harmony, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez, recently completed first headlining tour, with most dates selling out as soon as tickets were put on sale. She’s also playing major festivals including Firefly, Lollapalooza, Oshega, Outside Lands, Bumpershoot, and Austin City Limits.

Bea’s music has evolved and explanded, and audiences are responding -- her songs have been streamed over a billion times worldwide. Her best-selling debut, Not an Apology, was released in 2015, followed by three EPs and then 2018’s follow-up aurora. She was featured on a recent remix of Jeremy Zucker’s single “comethru” and NOTD’s dance hit “I Wanna Know, which amassed over 100 million global streams on Spotify and nearly 15 million video views, while her own hit “S.L.U.T.” illustrates her outspoken and ambitious approach as a spokesperson for young women everywhere.

From her candid lyrics to her involvement in anti-bullying organizations to her attendance at marches and rallies, Miller was Included in both Paper Magazine’s “Predictions: 100 People Taking Over 2019” and “100 Women Revolutionizing Pop.”

Kah-Lo is the Nigerian-born rising star, who has enjoyed an incredible 2016 with a chart-topping hit with 'Rinse & Repeat'; her infectious collaboration with London-based producer Riton. The phenomenal success of 'Rinse & Repeat' included being named one of the Top 10 most played songs on BBC Radio 1 for 2016, selling 400,000 copies in the UK and 35 million streams & counting on Spotify and a coveted Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording at this year's award ceremony - a testament to its enduring appeal as one of the most influential and unique club tracks of recent times, setting in motion the foundations in Kah-Lo’s burgeoning super-stardom.

Music has played a huge part in Kah-Lo’s life. Born Faridah Demola-Seriki, as a child her father and uncle would play various 80s & 90s Pop and Hip-Hop records around her home in Lagos, Nigeria. Artists such as Slick Rick, M.I.A, Rihanna, Madonna and Kanye West have all influenced her musical direction as well as her unique sense of style, topped off with her long flowing signature green hair. Beginning her musical journey straight out of university after making the brave decision to move from Nigeria to the USA, the now 24-year-old decided it was all or nothing and started taking crucial steps into the development of her fearless brand. Kah-Lo soon began performing in bars and coffee shops across New York City – perfecting her craft whilst also uploading random tracks to her Soundcloud page.

Fast-forward to 2018 and Kah-Lo is looking ahead to a festival filled summer at Pukkelpop, Reading & Leeds Festival and SW4. In this time, Kah-Lo also released her debut solo single ‘Fasta’ followed by 'Fake ID' which arguably continue much of the success earned with ‘Rinse & Repeat’, collectively earning BBC Radio 1’s hottest specialist record of the year, ‘Hottest Record in the World’ by Annie Mac, ‘Tune of the Week’ by Clara Amfo and ‘Jam Hot’ & ‘Track of the Week’ by MistaJam. ‘Fasta’ also enjoyed a record five weeks at number one on the BBC Radio 1 Dance Chart and earned praise from the likes of Calvin Harris, Jax Jones, Martin Solveig, Faithless and many more key industry tastemakers. Kah-Lo’s undeniable impact has also been felt in Australia, where ‘Fasta’ became one of the year’s hottest records on triplej radio, where it was added to full rotation almost immediately and went on to become one of their most played songs of 2017.

Currently putting the final touches to a full-length release with Riton, Kah-Lo looks set to dominate throughout 2018, too!
