Eva And The Vagabond Tales

"The main intriguing factor about The Vagabond Tales is the inexplicit chameleon effect of ageless mood,” - Independent Feedback Blog.

From the alleyways of old town Riverside, CA come the sounds of old world folk-pop that broke free from the early ages of music and skipped through time to find its way into our modern world. Throughout the journey, stories were turned into songs, forming Eva and the Vagabond Tales.

The Vagabond Tales is a multi-instrumental music project centered around the songwriting of Russian born Eva Mikhailovna. The songs combine western, old folk, and ragtime into a musical melting pot, creating an alluring sound that transcends time and continents. Building its sound from the foundations of old time music and melancholy storytelling, it bends the laws of traditional songwriting to become a sound all its own. Since the start of the project in 2011, Mikhailovna has self-released a full-length album entitled "Letters From the Moon" and the EP "La Douleur Exquise". Her new album “Uncharted Ocean” is out on May 17th on Brooklyn’s Mother West label.

Bylines (closing set)

Members of Bylines have been heavily involved with the Bay Area music scene for nearly two decades. Their sound can be described as melodic, modern indie-rock, with a 90s alternative flavor. Formed in 2016, Bylines released their debut album, Summit Road, on February 15th 2019. If the listener was ever looking for a simple, relatable soundtrack to their formative years, Summit Road is that soundtrack.

Emily Zisman

Emily Zisman is an unapologetic storyteller of the contemporary woman’s experience. She uses unabashed honesty and humor to punctuate the complexity of the entire escapade. Emily found her way to songwriting as an outlet for her struggles when she was studying to be an actress in New York City. Over time, she realized that songwriting and sharing her personal stories connected her more closely to her community than her attempts to be an actress. The more raw and candid her songs were, the more people seemed to be drawn in. So, she packed up and moved back to California to pursue writing more studiously. Hilarity and devastation continue to ensue, and so in turn does she.
