Del Florida

Del Florida is the brainchild of Washington D.C. vocalist and multi instrumentalist, Leela Dawson. The group combine elements of neo-soul, progressive rock, dream pop & 80’s new wave, which UK blog Get Into This declares “If Mars Volta had binged on a volume of Beach Boys enriching hits then you are getting close to where Del Florida could be.

Heartside is a five piece progressive indie rock band based in Easton, MD. Drawing influence from emo, alt, and post-rock genres, they have been compared to bands such as Manchester Orchestra, Brand New, and HRVRD.

Having only been together since late-2015, Heartside has already established a dedicated local fanbase that consistently travels to support the band’s regional shows. At the same time, they’ve cultivated strong followings in the Washington DC, Northern Delaware, and Philadelphia areas. The band's rapid growth can be attributed to their passionate live performances and emotionally honest songwriting that are both sure to continue.

Surprise! Join us for Deaf Scene's "Chimera" album release party. Don't miss Annapolis darlings, Mountainwolf, and their heavy electric groove; it's your last chance this summer to catch Mountainwolf's mind-bending live rock show. Gingerwolf's "Hawaiian Space-Jazz" will get the party started. Virtual reality all night by Haymaker Media, and the first 100 ticket buyers receive a USB of unreleased songs and video featuring each band.

Deaf Scene, the ever-evolving instrumental power-trio has consciously embraced walking a musical road-less-traveled since their inception in 2010. Along the way they have cultivated a dedicated following with their sonically-expansive live performances and their solid studio work. Straddling a gray area between the progressive cacophonies of Tool, ethereal soundscapes of Explosions in the Sky, and the sludgy twinge of Primus, Deaf Scene has forged a sound that is uniquely their own. The band works together beautifully through seamless sets of original songs, intersected by ambient samples and drones, generating “a sound that you would never imagine could come from three dudes” (89.7 WTMD).
