Elizabeth II is a dynamic and punchy punk rock and roll band from Washington DC. With an eclectic Stevie Nicks nostalgia blended with a new age youthful edge, Elizabeth II combines thunderous and gravely vocals with punk and bluesy guitar riffs driven by pulsating rhythms. Beth Cannon of Elizabeth II is a rising guitar force in the local DC music scene. She pairs bluesy BB King styled licks along with the contemporary solo styles of Steve Vai, all while earning praise from world class guitarists like Slash of Guns n' Roses. Elizabeth II's debut EP, Rope Sting, will be available worldwide June of 2019.
Wanted Man’s songs are about what we are, working people in America in a strange time,” says songwriter Kenny Pirog.
Formed in Washington D.C., Wanted Man plays rock ’n’ roll music as it once was, yet as it has never been. Over three years Kenny Pirog (vocals, guitar), Anthony Pirog (lead guitar), Scoops (bass, ask him about his name, you won’t be disappointed), and Rick Irby (drums) have crafted a sound usually only heard in one’s imagination. The release of their self-titled album in 2016 (available on all streaming outlets) showcased the band’s abilities to play in many different styles, as well as address vast subject matters. “That was just the beginning,” says Pirog when, alluding to where the band’s music is going.
The new music, which will be available for viewing at Gypsy Sally’s, takes place between here on Earth and cosmic fields. “Now, the lyrics are more relevant, there is more room for improvisation, the are stronger grooves, and Anthony is growing even wilder on his guitar,” says Pirog. Wanted Man’s music exists in order to make sense of what’s been happening as well as what can happen. “We are creating the world we live in, after all" says Pirog.
