Todd Morgan has been fronting his Pop/Rock & Roll band, The Emblems, or performing solo for more than 10 years in the Sacramento area as well as throughout California and Nevada. He has toured through the southern U.S. as a solo artist and traveled into Canada and northern U.S. states.
Todd Morgan and his band, The Emblems, perform a healthy mix of pop/rock, blues, soul, funk, disco, hot jazz, country and Todd’s first love, early rock ‘n’ roll, to even baroque pop on certain tracks of Todd’s latest album, there is truly something in his music to please and excite most any audience. Todd has been nominated for a SAMMIE three times, in “Pop Band”, Rockabilly” and in 2019 even the “Indie” artist categories, which gives testament to Todd’s diverse skill and musical talents as an artist. In 2015 Todd’s album, Sweet Pretender, was rated one of Submerge Magazine’s “Top 15 Albums of the Year”. The song, “Running Wild”, from the album, won West Coast Songwriters’ “Best Song of the Year” and is currently a semi-finalist in the 2019 Nashville “Music City Songstar” competition.
A creative force, Todd is the songwriter and producer of three albums with a 4th album due to drop in 2019, which, he recorded much of at the historical East West Studios in Los Angeles with final mixing done at Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco. Recording and producing music has become a big love and pursuit in Todd’s life right along with his love of live performance. The music that he creates with his band has been described as, “extremely catchy”, “strong and powerful”, and “attention grabbing”.
