Boostive's massive sound is the product of seven young musician's unique musical influences. Drawing from elements from everything from gritty hip hop to ambient electronic and back world music, they create a powerful trance-like atmosphere for their audiences and easily fit in to any kind of musical setting. Originally started by four lifelong friends in san diego, a move to Santa Cruz brought the missing pieces of the puzzle with the addition of the last three members. The recording of the self titled EP in 2012 signified they were ready to begin playing shows professionally. Since then, boostive has taken off and even had the pleasure of playing numerous music festivals and opening up for some of their most respected influences like Heiroglyphics, The Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief, Slightly Stoopid, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Zion i, and Gramatik. The group now gigs around California regularly and is constantly creating new material, keeping the spirit and energy alive and changing. With a full length album recorded and on the way to being released and the release of their second EP "Feed the People"(2014), boostive is moving forward with their momentum every day.

TV Broken 3rd Eye Open

TV Broken 3rd Eye Open is an eclectic and versatile seven-piece band that fuses together a multitude of musical styles from across the world into a psychedelic explosion of sound. Equipped with didgeridoos, sitars, guitars, world percussion, keys, synthesizers, drums, bass, flutes, harmonicas, banjos, and the kitchen sink; it is a musical ensemble like no other. The band draws inspiration from a myriad of musical genres such as afro funk, jazz, psychedelic groove, Indian, folk, blues, and even spaghetti western circus cabaret. Though the band’s sound is unique in its own right, the TV Broken 3rd Eye Open experience also has a significant visual component. The TV Towers 2.0 (debuting in April 2019) is a way to express the way the band sees their music through visual art. Stunning visuals of sacred geometry and psychedelic imagery are then projected on to the stage to combine with the music to make for a truly unique experience.

Grooving and playing with so many different styles and sound textures has allowed the band to continuously grow from a style perspective. Just as their music has grown, so too has their festival presence. Having played at festivals such as Electric Forrest, Symbiosis, Lightning in a Bottle and Lucidity; TV Broken 3rd Eye Open’s exposure is on the rise. The band’s recent collaboration with visual prodigy Pickles Visuals and Stranger Liquids has certainly solidified TV Broken 3rd Eye Open’s status as a must-see band on any festival line-up.

In addition, members of the band can facilitate workshops, lectures, and classes of different kinds to enrich any festival experience. For example, one of the members is a certified and licensed sound therapist who can provide personal/group healings, workshops, meditations and interactive experiences involving sound healing. TV Broken 3rd Eye Open’s current line-up consists of Adrian Johnson (global instrument specialist), Nathan Harvey (drums), Jasym Ellis (guitar, synth), Travis Soto (Bass), Alex Mello (Keys), Roberto Rodriguez (Percussion), and Pickle/Stranger Liquids (visuals).

Afrolicious has established itself as both one of the most legendary weekly parties in San Francisco, and of the top live/electronic bands on the scene. Started as a weekly dance party featuring DJ’s and brothers Pleasuremaker and Señor Oz alongside percussionists, MC’s and horn players, and an amazing crowd from day one. Over the years it has evolved as founding DJ/Producer Pleausremaker (Joe McGuire) alongside brother Señor Oz (Oz McGuire) hooked up with some of the most exciting personalities in the Bay Area music scene and started writing original music under the alias Afrolicious.

Around 2010 the live Pleasuremaker band started including some of this new ‘Afrolicious’ material and added more of the percussionists and vocalists from the weekly party to form what is now the Afrolicious band. Between their weekly party and sound system shows that involve the brothers DJing alongside live percussion, they also have a 6 piece live band that emphasizes the organic elements, instrumentation, and energy of a live ensemble combined with club heavy beats and textures the weekly party has come to be known for. Afrolicious band and sound system have performed at such legendary venues as Red Rocks, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, Electric Forest Festival, Snow Globe, Burningman, Sea of Dreams, The Independent, Great American Music Hall, Elbo Room in San Francsico (5 plus years weekly residency), Cielo, Nublu, Bembe, Zanzibar, Silent Frisco.

Afrolicious has played alongside such artists as Thievery Corporation, Jimmy Cliff, Fishbone, Balkan Beat Box, Rob Garza, Novalima, The Pimps of Joytime, Nickodemus, Johnny Osbourne, See-I, Ghostland Observatory, Beats Antique, J.Boogie, and DJ Smash.

Afrolicious remixes and original productions can be found on labels such as ESL Music, Six Degrees Records, Akwaaba Music, Bagpak Music and more.

Afrolicious also is happy to provide the soundtrack for your wedding, corporate event, private party or anything you may have in mind that is need of a unique live music or DJ experience or a combination of the two to create a memorable event.
