Meyru is a New York City rock band with a fresh take on nostalgic indie rock. Made up of two cousins and their lifelong friend, the group plans to release their debut album “Good To See You” in early 2019. The crew’s indie pop melodies, bolstered by intricate guitar leads and driving bass were quickly grasped by local crowds leading to a series of sold out shows at NYC Venues such as Mercury Lounge, The Bowery Electric, Pianos, and The Bitter End. After becoming known for their energetic live shows the band spent a month in the mountains of North Carolina where they recorded their debut album in the basement of an abandoned church with the help of Brooklyn based producer, Tyler Brown, and mastering engineer, Dan Millice (A$AP Rocky, Al Green, 50 Cent). The band is currently gearing up to tour the rest of the country.
"Meyru’s new track "Running Day Dreams” meshes an Interpol-like post-punk presence with a grunge-friendly vocal feel, resulting in a bustling and melodic effort that shows the NYC rockers’ numerous strengths" - Obscure Sound
Common Ground is a 6 piece folk-rock band from New York City. Members include Christina Maida, Brian Hayman, Darcy Hargadon, Justin Freidus, John Castaldo and Eugene Armencha. Together, their unique brand of Americana is highlighted by powerful vocals, tight harmonies, and playful use of instruments. The band came together in early 2016 after lead singers Christina Maida and Brian Hayman crossed paths at an open mic night at an East Village bar called Common Ground. The bar sadly closed down a few months later, but the band it brought together took its name in tribute. In January of 2019, Common Ground released its debut full length album ‘Wayward,’ recorded at Rift Studios in Brooklyn with Grammy-nominated sound engineer Tom Gardner.
Based out of New York, SCR (Sir Cadian Rhythm) is an alt-rock band known for their captivating live performance and infectious melodies.
The bands unique sonic blend, which teeters on the edge of pop and alternative rock, is the result of each member coming from different musical upbringings ranging from musical theater to horn-laden funk to psychedelic rock music.
Since their formation in 2015, the band has gone on to perform all over the east coast opening for national acts including Gavin DeGraw, Andy Grammer, Blues Traveler, The Robert Randolph Band, and The Record Company. Their highly touted single, “Not Quite Done Yet”, went viral on social media platforms and has accumulated close to a half a million streams on Spotify since its release. The hit song was featured in the blockbuster video game "Nascar Heat 2” this past fall. The bands song “Run Around Town” was also featured in the film “Back in the Day” starring Alec Baldwin.
Afternoon Men is a five-piece, New York-based rock/roll band, made up of Nick Fowler on vocals and rhythm guitar, James Cimina on drums, William Biondi on bass, Gray Stangler on keys, and Jerry McLellan on lead guitar.
They are a company of giddy-heads, afternoon men. It is midsummer moon still, and the dog days last all year long. They are all mad … but no one is wise at all hours―no one born without faults―no one free from crime―no one content with his lot―no one in love wise―no good, or wise man perfectly happy.
