Queer Ladies' Night

Queer Ladies' Night

Lesbian Singer/Songwriters Jessie Standafer & Cassidy Andrews have curated a night of music presented exclusively by Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans, and Queer women, and we want you in the room. Come and be part of the queerest thing to hit Brooklyn's Union Hall!

Jessie Standafer

With a insatiable passion for LGBTQ representation in music, Jessie does not wait for permission to make art happen, and lives by the radical belief that artists have the power to direct culture. She has returned to the socially conscious roots of pop music to produce & amplify revolutionary content. With a voice like honey & lightning, Jessie makes music that defies easy categorization; she is a musical activist, writing music and creating visual content that advocates for lesbian representation, racial equity, and cannabis legalization. Jessie is a living, breathing rainbow…the future is femme

Cassidy Andrews

Cassidy Andrews picked up a guitar when a woman broke her heart for the first time at age 13. She has gone on connect with audiences about all things melancholy, attempting to compensate for sad songs with jokes and charm. After playing venues varying from zoos to colleges, bars to music halls, cafes to living rooms, there's a comfort the audience in the ease of her performances. Her EP “Through the Dark”, recorded and released in Brooklyn, NY, haunts melodically and tells the truth lyrically. “Love is only as love does, and not as it seems/Oh, if all the dreams could be, then they would not be dreams.” Known to sit down to the piano for an emotional ballad, duet with a fiddle player for a folky, upbeat song about infidelity, or share a brand new song at an intimate New York City, Andrews isn’t one to shy away from a story. She brings people back to their love for old-fashioned singer/songwriters, with a modern twist.
