Bobby Thompson & Friends "EP Release Show"

Bobby Thompson & Friends "EP Release Show"

Over the past 10 years, Bobby has toured with some of the best names in rock, reggae, and blues, and since putting Revelator Hill on hold in 2018, he’s stepped up front to begin the work of finishing a new solo album, set for release in the fall of 2019. While touring, he opened for well-known artists like Gary Clark Jr, Marcus King, and Samantha Fish, and he played the sideman role for local legends Justin Jones and Laura Tsaggaris. He no longer works as a sideman, and he has pushed his solo group into the headlining spotlight. On June 21, he’s releasing an EP of 4 songs from the upcoming album, which he considers a treat to all. He’s very proud of this work, and can’t wait to share it with his fanbase. Joining Bobby Thompson & Friends will be the Rebecca Haviland and Whiskey Heart, who just returned home to NYC from a tour that was highlighted by a live session at Sun Studios in Nashville.

Rebecca, the granddaughter of jazz musicians, got her start at a young age when her father started sneaking her into bars when she was 13 to sit in with her uncle's band.

Rebecca's new album entitled "Bright City Lights" was released in April of 2018 and produced by Don DiLego (Jesse Malin, Hollis Brown) at Atomic Sound in Brooklyn. It reflects Rebecca’s experiences on the road encompassing American roots music.
