Birocratic (born Brandon Rowan) is an NJ-based, NYC-bred bedroom producer and beatmaker. After a few short years spent creating hip-hop headnodders in the shadow of giants—J Dilla, DJ Shadow, and Nujabes, to name a few—Biro has grown his signature sound into an expansive palette that combines evocative samples and vintage synths with airy, complex percussion. A multi-instrumentalist at heart, Biro is equally at home sampling as he is playing and recording. He first reached ears at BuzzFeed’s production offices in 2013, and his ever-evolving catalog of tunes has since been featured in their videos (and many others’), reaching nearly 80 million listeners in the process. Never truly satisfied, he indebts a healthy dose of his inspiration to his surroundings—most notably to his annual summer-long stint in Cape May, NJ, where he develops much of his music. His forthcom ing Replaced EP (Oct 2016) is a vivid watercolor of internal conversations led by a solitary existence in his oceanside hometown. Throu ghout Replaced, Birocratic deftly fuses palettes, painting over crunchy jazz chords and organic instruments with his unique ear for electronic flavor and precision.
2013 Vh1 Master of the Mix Finalist ~ 2011 DMC USA & World Champion ~ 3x Red Bull Thre3style Winner ~ Few artists who identify as a producer and DJ have as impressive a resume as Chris Karns. Trusted by some of the biggest names in music to set the stage on fire with his blazing turntable skills, Karns is following up a World DMC Championship title with a starring role on VH1's "Master of the Mix" and a packed schedule of party rocking. Karns has enjoyed an undeniable reputation long-sealed by his on stage and in studio work with some industry heavyweights like Yelawolf, Bun B., Kid Rock, Paul Wall, Bassnectar and Travis Barker. This is not a man who gets on iTunes, downloads a few hits and calls it a day, but rather an accomplished master of his craft.
At a time when the word "DJ" no longer carries with it the weight of a once vibrant vinyl culture, it's a relief there are passionate and talented artists like Chris. Since his early days inspired by his musician father and learning to scratch on a $20 belt-drive turntable, he's rocked countless overseas and American tours, and has played everywhere from Los Angeles to New York, London to Tokyo, and everywhere in between. Since being honored with the highest possible battle title and becoming DMC World Champion, Karns is now known as one of the fastest scratchers and beat jugglers in the game, incorporating drum machines and other components into sets stacked with raw energy. When he's in front of insatiable crowds weaving together a versatile set of hip-hop, house, trap and more, Karns obviously a natural entertainer who's set the bar high for himself and his contemporaries.

Shuj Roswell is the latest musical creation of Denver’s own, Mark A. Cooley. Releasing his debut album, Flying High Above The World, on Michal Menert’s (PLM) Super Best Records label in 2015, he carefully curates vinyl samples of 60’s and 70’s funk and soul, 80’s R&B, 90’s Hip-Hop, and obscure movie soundtracks to use as a foundation for his production. Fusing traditional sample based hip-hop with warm analog synthesis and hard hitting beats sets the table for a sound Mark has come to call, Funktronadelic.
UNFOLD Music is the Colorado Based bass electronic project from Colorado's own constructor Aaron Thompson, who is an active member of The Mile High Sound Movement artist collective and record label. The project began in 2014 with the spin of a record and the sound of a drum beat. Being an up and comer in Denver’s electronic scene is something to hold high. Playing shows with Mikey Thunder, Eliot Lipp, SuperVision, Late Night Radio, Russ Liquid, Thriftworks, Bass Physics, Unlimited Gravity, Project Aspect, Artifakts, Marvel Years and SoDown. The genre spectrum continues across the board and it shows the versatility the band has for any crowd. A dynamic and ideological producer, UNFOLD has always taken a community driven approach. “It’s about the fans and friends I continue to make. I’ve been lucky enough to meet the people who inspire me and who have helped me grow into the musician I am today.”
Mikey Thunder likes to party. But more than that, Mikey Thunder just so happens to be the party. Thunder spins a genre-blending, bass-driven partyrock, fusing banging electronic beats with funk, hip-hop, soul, jazz, blues, swing, reggae and anything else the party may call for on the fly. With 19 years in the game, he's mastered the art of improvisation with an uncanny ability to work with and rework the vibe of the party with precision. If you’re a true connoisseur of the Colorado music scene, you’ve seen Mikey share the stage with any number of your favorite artists- no matter the genre.
It all began for Mikey at the age of 15 when he discovered DJing in Springfield , Mass. Thru friends older brother's record collections and the Hiphop scene in the city. From there he moved up to Burlington Vt. and immersed himself in the diverse musical culture. In the fall of 1999, he relocated to the mountains of Jackson Hole where he was soon kidnapped by Michael Franti and Spearhead for the Stay Human Tour. After opening for Spearhead in Jackson Hole, Thunder was handpicked by Michael Franti to open the rest of the tour, where he mixed beats into their sets, during set break, and scratched with their beatboxer, Radioactive.
After the Spearhead tour Mikey relocated to Boulder and continued to pursue his musical career. At that time Thunder also was an Atari playing stuntman/ DJ in the band Sonar. The band shared the stage with the Wailers at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, the String Cheese Incident, and played Hightimes Magazine’s SXSW party, and the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam. In the fall of 2009 Mikey joined the Pretty Lights crew, opened for over 30 shows on their tours and performed cuts on the Making Up a Changing Mind EP, released in 2010. He also has played the sold out Red Rocks Amphitheater runs with PL in 2012/13/14.
Since that time, he has made his presence known in every single facet of the Colorado music industry. Over the years he has shared the stage with an extremely diverse range of musicians, including (but certainly not limited to): Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, The Disco Biscuits, Boombox, Soul Live, Lettuce, The Motet, Michal Menert, Nightmares on Wax, Mr. Scruff, DJ Krush, Bonobo, Z Trip, DJ Qbert, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Jurassic 5, Slick Rick, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface killa, Red Man, Juicy J, and Big Boi of Outkast. Additionally, he has been prominently featured on such festivals as Shambhala, Sonic Bloom, Snowball, Global Dance Festival, and many others.
Mikey Thunder’s true talent lies in his versatility. Every Thunder performance presents something familiar in an entirely unfamiliar way, as well as something unfamiliar presented in a way that is immediately recognizable as Thunder.
Jordan Polovina is a cellist, producer, vocalist currently in Colorado. other bands include: Whiskey Blanket, Grim&Darling, and, Glitta Kings
