UFO Fev is a refreshing artist out of East Harlem, New York City. From hip hop and Latin to freestyles, Fev developed a raw, original and captivating flow. The name Fev was given to him by Black Rob, another well-known rapper. His exact words were, “You’re hot like a fever;” hence the name Fev which stuck in the streets of Spanish Harlem. UFO Fev’s distinct flow, clever self-written lyrics, Spanish background and passion for the game sets him apart from any other rapper stemming from Harlem.
Formerly known as R3, Jose Santiago has been gracing stages, setting recording booths on fire, and winning the hearts of many fans across the globe for over 10 years. His eclectic style has won him a plaque in the '09 Top 5 Underground Artist of the Year Awards, and landed him a recording deal with Pitbull Mr. 305 Inc.'s own recording artist, Jamie Drastik under the Prospect Music Group record label. In 2010 Jose toured the states with LMFAO and by 2013 his voice was breaking airwaves featuring on DJ Suss One's "Single For Tonight" with Flo-Rida and Jamie Drastik. To add to his impressive resume, José has produced, composed, and/or co-written songs with artists like Rocnation's own UFO Fev, UK songstress Remi Lewis, and Jennifer Denali, just to name a few. Along with the change to his born name, Jose continues to reinvent his sound and has matured into a solid songwriter, one who can compete with the juggernauts of the music business. From mixtapes "New To You" and "Bullshittin In The Basement" to "Pleasure 2 Meet U" there's an apparent sense of originality and growth. Now, with the release of his latest EP "Breathe," Jose's proven he's leading his own marathon with no-one in sight. Stars do fade away but expect this one to shine for a very long time.
Over the past year, Zandra has been slow cooking her first full length LP entitled “Zeefunk”. The album will be a compilation of warm, powerhouse vocals juxtaposed against grime style beats. Zandra is “Undeniably talented with vocals that sound like a time before them”. (Richardine Bartee - Grungecake). Her music is a compelling blend of Hip-Hop and R&B, the type that makes listeners reminiscent of the golden era of boom-bap and Mary J. Blige while still maintaining a sound entirely unique and unheard.
Remi Lewis is a singer-songwriter who was born in London and moved to Brooklyn when she was nine. Growing up, Remi’s home was filled with 90’s hip-hop and R&B, with artists like Mary J Blige, OutKast & Lauryn Hill inspiring her to start singing. But it wasn’t until she got accepted into Brooklyn High School of the Arts that she actually got the confidence to sing in public, and it was in fact Harlem native Dame Dash who encouraged her to start writing songs of her own.
While Remi will be the first to say her musical style is ever-evolving and growing, her most recent project, “Wonderland,”- which premiered on VFiles and already has 20k YouTube views - draws influences from the classic tale Alice in Wonderland and dark 90’s movies like Heather’s & Donnie Darko, combined with Y2K/Bratz Doll personal style references.
Remi’s friends and New York City are a constant inspiration to her as she plans to merge the worlds of music, fashion and film, with a message of female empowerment in her upcoming project to be released this summer. Remi’s unique style has also landed her modeling jobs for brands such as Converse, Dolls Kill and Lime Crime.
