Night Ranger is an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California in the early 80's. A band that epitomized the mega-selling, big hair, soft metal sound, Night Ranger took a break at the end of that decade but reunited in 1996 and they continue to perform in various guises. Night Ranger had a string of best-selling albums with sales of more than 16 million copies fuelled by multiple hit singles—particularly their first hit, "Sister Christian".
The band started when Jack Blades (bass/lead vocals), Jeff Watson (guitarist/singer), Brad Gillis (guitarist/singer), and Kelly Keagy(drummer/lead singer) joined forces in San Francisco in the early ‘80s with keyboardist Alan Fitzgerald (Sammy Hagar, Montrose) to launch Night Ranger. The group drew the attention of legendary promoter Bill Graham and was soon appearing in concert with major artists such as the Doobie Brothers, Santana, Rick Springfield, and Judas Priest.

Johnny Solinger (of Skid Row)
EX-SKID ROW Frontman
From every corner of the world, stadiums, arenas, theaters, and night clubs, Johnny Solinger has brought the sound of Texas thunder to the masses. As lead singer of the multi-platinum rock band SKID ROW for 15 years, Johnny has been just about everywhere and seen just about everything.... until now.
Things have changed a bit for the rock aficionado. He has added Country recording artist to his duties. Don't be confused, for this should come as no surprise to anyone who knows the versatile singer. Growing up in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex, Johnny was exposed in equal doses to Hard Rock and Country music. He fell in love with both, and has been two timin' the pair of them ever since. He formed the rock band SOLINGER in Dallas, recording 4 independent records and enjoying live performance and radio success throughout the Southwest.
In January of 2000, Johnny was invited to join the multi-million album selling rock band SKID ROW, immediately embarking on a nine month tour with rock legends KISS just weeks later. Johnny has said "What a tremendously humbling experience it is to climb up on the stage with artists such as KISS and Ted Nugent, but when you get that chance, it's sink or swim. I had to dive in head first." To date, Johnny Solinger has toured the world many times over sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in music, including Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and Kid Rock. He has recorded two records with the band, Thickskin and Revolutions Per Minute. Johnny has appeared on CNN, MTV, VH1, The Speed Channel, Sirius, and XM satellite radio. Pretty darn unexpected for a self-proclaimed "redneck" from the "Great State of Texas". While replacing such a well known singer may have seemed an impossible task for some, Johnny was never daunted, and actually considers it an upgrade.
Johnny continues to pursue something that's been running through his veins his whole life... country music. On his debut solo material he proclaims:
"Aside from rock, I've recorded some country tunes as well (hell, I live in Houston, Texas!), and while it might seem odd to have such drastic tastes in music, it seems perfectly natural to me."
The first and only single released "Too Well To Go To Work" managed to hit the top 20 on the Texas Music Charts peaking at #16. This was a regional release and was only available in Texas and Oklahoma retail stores. It's filled with both sides of Johnny Solinger, Country and Rock. It was a perfect introduction to country fans who may have never heard of Johnny.
It's been three long years since the debut effort, and in those 36 months the band experienced an astounding re-emergence on the world's stage, covering all corners of the globe, including China, Australia, Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Wales, Sweden, Italy, Mexico, Taiwan, and even Russia. Extensive touring of the U.S. followed, delaying the planned release of a second Country record.
The brand new sophomore album from Johnny will make it well worth the wait!! "I'm so excited about these songs and this new record that I glow in the dark", says Solinger. "The first one was never ever meant to be a one and done, throw it against the wall and see if it sticks kinda deal. I LOVE making these records and completely flipping the switch from Hard Rock back to my country roots. I've worked with a helluva list of Grammy winning artists on this thing. Amazing..." Well, the world will get it's first taste and decide for itself how Country this rocker really is with the release of the single "Livin' Out A Country Song", due out in September 2011, with a full length album to follow. Solinger adds: "This time we're going Nationwide. I learned a lot from the Smith Entertainment debut, and I think I'll try and cross those Texas-Oklahoma borders and take some risks".
