The Lonesome Days
The Lonesome Days are a 5 piece, high energy, modern bluegrass ensemble from Denver, Colorado. Blending heartfelt songwriting and powerful vocals with precise instrumentation and undeniable groove, The Lonesome Days have charged their way to the forefront of the Colorado bluegrass scene. Songwriting is a major focus for the band but listeners can always expect a unique repertoire of standard bluegrass and other cross-genre covers. With the recent addition of fiddle to the band, The Lonesome Days are carving out their niche in the national bluegrass arena.
Bridget Law is a fifth generation Colorado Native who has always lived on the front range. It was at the Denver Waldorf School in the third grade that she was introduced to the love of her life, the violin. The connection to this instrument led to years of fiddle competitions, studying Jazz in college, traveling to Scotland to learn Celtic music and following the Bluegrass scene in Boulder County. Her style on the violin is unique and graceful; she plays with her soul and every tune is a dance. Elephant Revival has been her main project for over a decade but she also finds time to support artists that she believes in by weaving her violin melodies into their work and lifting the music to another level. It is easy to find her as a guest performer with countless acts including Bonfire Dub, Everyone Orchestra, Fruition, the Shook Twins, Gipsy Moon, Xerephine, Katie Gray, Sea Stars, WE DREAM DAWN, or playing on specialty shows like The Last Waltz Revisited. Recently her musical prowess is taking a journey with her soon-to-be husband; their group is called “TIERRO with Bridget Law” and their music uses Arabian scales, rock instrumentation and trance melodies to create a unique dance experience. Bridget is also featured on vocals where she sings originals and carefully chosen cover tunes.
She has always been interested in the Music Business and plans to develop her skills in that area in the future; helping others to succeed in the world of bringing music to the people is a calling for her. In the quiet moments she writes songs, often lullaby in quality for she shares her most vulnerable spaces to create these sweet poetic expressions. Music brings purpose to her life and has led her on great adventures. She is dedicated to living mindfully and sharing that space with others, music is a vessel for that intention.
Caribou Mountain Collective
Caribou Mountain Collective is a quartet from Nederland, Colorado. Their extensive original repertoire channels the rich traditions of both Appalachia and Colorado bluegrass. Their original lyrics and instrumental compositions present unique facets into americana. C.M.C. represents the next step in an ongoing revolution of roots music.
Though only together for two years, the C.M.C. has already established a strong presence in the music scene. Dobro player Allen Cooke was awarded first place at the 2013 Rockygrass dobro competition. Bassist Curly Collins brings his remarkable stage presence and industry expertise from his five years with Mountain Standard Time. Guitarist Miles Perry masterfully embodies the mountain heritage in his catalog of original works. Their instrumental expertise shines through Miles' songs to present a captivating new approach to a classic sound.
Bowregard consists of five members whose roots span the North American Bluegrass scene. Dedicated to the exploration and discovery of a sound uniquely their own within bluegrass and acoustic folk, their sound is defined through their songwriting and uniquely intertwined vocal harmonies. Bowregard draws out the talent each individual band member brings to the table and melds them together in an acoustic powerhouse that packs a punch!
Originally from Savannah, Georgia, Zachary Smith and Colleen Heine (The Accomplices) both moved to Colorado to pursue a continued love of music, where they met guitarist Max Kabat (Jet Edison, Two Fine Fellas) and banjo player James Armington (Timber). With influences from all over the map, Bowregards sound has a refreshing and dynamic feel that weaves together the feel of traditional acoustic bluegrass music with a cutting edge Mash influence. The latest addition to their lineup includes Christopher Herbst (Thunder & Rain) on Dobro.
"Our goal is to simply write songs that sound good and feel good to play. Each one of the musicians in this group certainly rises to the occasion."
