Veteran indie rock act No Knife was an integral part of the early and mid '90s San Diego scene constantly pushing the envelope of success, determined not by playing sold-out shows or the number of units moved, but by creating their own definitive sound and being recognized for playing tight and intensely vigorous live shows.
Over their ten-year lifespan, No Knife released four full-length albums and a slew of tracks for various seven-inches and indie compilations. As recipients of numerous San Diego Music Awards, including 'Album of the Year' and 'Best Rock Album' honors, No Knife's extraordinary sound and songwriting prowess inspired successful up-and-coming bands all over the country, and soon the group was regarded within the national scene as true "musician's musicians."
No Knife have toured the U.S., Canada and Japan dozens of times with the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Cursive, Sunny Day Real Estate, Rocket From the Crypt, The Get Up Kids and many more. As No Knife's music has developed a mature, rich quality over the years, they have maintained their characteristic cutting-edge sound incorporating hints of The Clash, Wire and Gang Of Four, while combining post-punk energy and the sonic eloquence that have made them a classic.
A break from the usual posturing and preening of mainstream rock acts, San Diego CA's own Buckfast Superbee is the real deal. These guys will have you sweating and singing before the second chorus of their first song. BfSb has spent the last 4 and a half years writing, recording, touring and building a rabid following in California and the surrounding region. The proof is in their gut wrenching live performances where 100% is just a warm up.
Now with their new full-length release: TURN OF THE RADIO AGE, BfSb is poised to bring the essentials back to popular rock music, unwavering intensity, undeniable melody, and most of all, complete honesty.
