In any great story, the setting is as telling as the characters, and the story of Finnegan Bell is no exception.
Raised in South Carolina and now located on her coastline, Shane Williams and Warren Bazemore have roots tied deeply to the place they call home. Williams and Bazemore began writing and playing together while students at The University of South Carolina, and though life's road took unexpected turns, they have not stopped making music since.
As the band Finnegan Bell, the duo continues to play over 100 shows a year, having shared the stage with the likes of Nickel Creek, Leigh Nash, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, Jars of Clay, David Mead, Griffin House, Danielle Howle, as well as members of Hootie and the Blowfish and Allison Krauss and Union Station.
Their new album, I Was Gone, features unforgettable melodies and engaging harmonies, with lyrics crafted as much for the everyman as the poet. I Was Gone comes together as the band's most celebrated work to date, establishing Finnegan Bell as two of the most seasoned songwriters and performers their beloved state has ever grown.
Chris Wilcox is a singer songwriter based in Nashville, TN. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD and having lived five years in Charleston, SC, Chris’s musical influence has no boundaries. His upcoming release, “Legacy”, displays his unique sound, blending his East Coast roots with his Southern experience as an artist. This release is a reborn project for Wilcox as the songs outline a lot the last few years of his life. From the passing of his father, to leaving Charleston for Nashville, Wilcox holds nothing back in his most honest work yet.
The tracks heard "Legacy" offer Wilcox as a detailed story teller, intertwining his education in poetry with both personal and imaginative stories to produce a body of work that displays his inherent talent as a songwriter.
Chris has been back in the studio with Matt Zutell (Coast Records), along with ‘the Boys', who he’s been playing with the last couple of years. A decision to track these songs live came at the birth of the project with the intent to capture the energy Chris & the Boys have developed with their live show. The project, fittingly called ‘Chris Wilcox & the Boys,’ will be released on streaming platforms this summer, along with an East Coast tour with the whole outfit, which includes Aaron Utterback (Bass, Human Resources), Paul Chelmis (Keys, Human Resources), Matt Zutell (Drums, Human Resources), and Peter Clark (Guitar, Ohio).
