Celebrate the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein with this comedic spoof starring Gene Wilder as medical lecturer, Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, who inherits his grandfather's estate in Transylvania. Complications ensue when Dr. Frankenstein recreates his grandfather's experiments and creates his own monster. Costume Party & Pub at 6 p.m. Movie starts at 7:30 p.m.
Count Gore de Vol
Count Gore de Vol, was the host of “Creature Feature,” on Washington, D.C.'s WDCA Channel 20 from 1973 to 1987.
Every Saturday at midnight, the Count (Dick Dyszel) introduced scary films and sci-fi classics on Channel 20. His character name is a combination of a play on the author Gore Vidal’s name and the D.C.-based De Vol funeral homes. Dyszel also played the role of Captain 20 and hosted several children’s programs for the channel.

Part of the 200th anniversary celebration of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, the City of Gaithersburg also features the workshop, “Creating Ghost Stories & Tall Tales” (as Shelley wrote the novel as a result of a contest between friends) and FrankenSTEM200, at the Community Museum.
