This event is 21 and over
For over a decade, Graham Norwood has been making the rounds in New York music circles. First coming to whatever two steps below prominence is as guitarist and co-producer for psychedelic prog-pop auteur, Bryan Scary, Graham subsequently produced and played bass on Ward White's critically acclaimed Ward White is the Matador and toured European arenas opening for Billy Idol with the Dough Rollers. More recently, he has played twangin' telecaster opposite NY guitar hero, Scott Metzger, on the forthcoming debut album, "Baby You Win," by classic country singer-songwriter, Cliff Westfall, a record which Graham also co-produced alongside Bryce Goggin (Pavement, Phish, Antony & the Johnsons).
Over the past three years, Graham has also stepped out as a solo artist and performer. At frequent solo acoustic gigs and occasionally featuring a revolving band of ace side musicians, Graham has performed an increasing catalog of original compositions that have garnered comparisons to Elliott Smith, George Harrison, Jeff Buckley, and Harry Nilsson, amongst others. Recently, a somewhat regular four-piece lineup has begun to coalesce around drummer David Christian (Benjamin Booker, Hospitality), second guitarist Simon Kafka (Ellie King, Carly Rae Jepsen), and Bryan Smith, enabling live shows that span the gamut from mellow country-rock to full-on fuzz guitar freakouts. Graham's first EP, "Out of the Sea," will be released later in 2018.
