A New Jersey native, Emilia Donovan fuses her early influences of the classic Jersey Shore soul-rock sound and Brill Building sixties pop writing with Americana lyrical themes to create a new blend of modern rock all her own. Her debut EP Where to Begin, a collaboration with writing partner Freddy Reish of LA indie rock band Atta Boy, was recorded at Plaid Dog Recording in Boston, MA, with some of the area's most talented young musicians, and released in November 2017.
Born in El Salvador, MARX has been performing professionally since the age of 12 when he started playing keyboard with his father’s band “Marito Rivera y Su Grupo Bravo”, a very well
known act in his home country. As part of his father’s band, he has played some of the biggest stages in El Salvador, as well as touring the United States and Canada. During this time MARX
also served as the keyboardist and singer for the “Bravitos Kids”, a group made up of his siblings and cousins. The group went on to release 3 singles and were showcased on some of El Salvador’s biggest media outlets.
In 2016 MARX released his first single “Reasons” and moved to the United States to further pursue his own musical path. He has since formed a new band, looking for a sound more driven by funk and R&B and taking points from his influences Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Michael Jackson. Together Marx and his new group have recently gone on to win the Artist Development Showcase at the acclaimed Musician’s Institute and are in the process of recording their debut EP.
We were formed in 2012 as a blues rock band called the 335’s. Under both names, we’ve been playing around Los Angeles at parties, clubs, and other venues. We have released one extended play and are working on an album as we speak! The members include: Dario Bizio (Bass, Vocals), Milo Coulter (Guitar, Vocals, Keys), Henry Gross (Guitar, Keys), and Max Gardos (drums)
In May of 2011 Shining Rae caught the attention of (MTV partner) OURSTAGE Magazine in which journalist Emily Cassel featured Shining Rae’s single “Dreaming” as the “ Breakup Anthem” for every girl to “unleash her inner diva.” As a result of fan voting Shining Rae went on to become the Grand Prize winner in the OurStage Artist Access Competition in July, with her hit single “Dreaming” landing her an opportunity to perform live in NYC and meet music industry giant Bruce Tyler (former EVP of Sony Music and Columbia Records).
Since the age of 12, Shining Rae has won talents shows and performed all over the country. Growing up in Southern Arkansas with parents who are professional musicians/songwriters made music an inevitable love of Shining Rae. She grew up singing in church and traveled with her talented father keyboard player “Goldfingers” who began his professional career playing for soul band Archie Bell and the Drells (Atlantic Records) and his own band Ful-E-Fek.
Rae defines music as an extension of her soul that she wants to share with the world. She’s a multi-instrumentalist who usually performs live with an acoustic guitar. Her urban pop/soul style is heavily influenced by Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, and Aaliyah. She credits a great bit of her edgy lyricism to her biggest hip hop musical influences/legends Tupac and her cousin Spencer aka One Love who is a member of the multi-platinum Grammy Winning hip-hop group Arrested Development. Shining Rae’s new music is rebellious, empowering, fierce, yet flirty and feminine.
After graduating from college as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Shining Rae left her Southern roots to follow her dreams and moved to Baltimore, Maryland. There she worked as a Scientist at Johns Hopkins Hospital ehile also working as a professional singer, background singer, and musician. In 2008 she performed at President Barack Obama’s 1st “Lighting of the National Christmas Tree” in Washington, D.C.
Rae has released 2 digital EPs and several singles. Her radio singles “Sugar” (2011) & “Dollar Signs” (2016) are in rotation on FM radio stations in the United States and Europe (debuted on KZRB 103.5 (TX, Flames Radio UK 94.4 FM and more). She is featured in several magazines around the world and currently performing in Los Angeles to promote her new hit EP “Vibez and Vocals Vol.1” (Released Dec. 2017 & currently 40,000 + streams on Spotify. Rae has recently gained popularity as “the girl with the angel voice” and as a star vocal producer for signed recording artists such as the late Leah Labelle (Epic Records), Jasmine Villegas (Interscope Records) She has also made a name for herself as a songwriter for notable collaborations with award-winning songwriters Makeba Riddick Woods (Beyoncé, Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez) Sam Hook (Miley Cyrus, Keyshia Cole, Trey Songz), Lil Eddie (Sony Music, Charlie Wilson, Fifth Harmony, The X Factor Vocal Coach) to name a few. In 2016 she gained the attention of Roc Nation Executive A&R Omar Grant (Rihanna) who invited her to work in studio as part of a songwriting camp for global superstar Rihanna Fenty. Currently Rae is featured on songs with multi-platinum selling recording artist Ray J (2017), Lil Yee’s “Straight to the Point” (Album: Cita Son 2017/ Empire Records) and upcoming 2018 single “Primetime” by Adonis (Priority/Capitol Records).
