Zach Deputy was raised in the South Carolina heat, all cooked up in his Puerto Rican, Cruzan and Irish heritage. The Calypso rhythms and folk songs of St. Croix competed with the R&B / soul of pioneers like James Brown and Ray Charles for space on the family stereo. As Deputy honed his craft, a unique hybrid of these influences emerged, ultimately creating the signature Zach Deputy sound. To bring this sound to the stage, the big, impossibly upbeat South Carolinian with the infectious smile puts on a solo show– enhanced by looping technology– that is essentially a one man dance party offering up what he calls "Island-infused, Drum 'n' Bass, Gospel-Ninja-Soul" to the enthusiastic crowds of dancers who flock to clubs from coast-to-coast. Over 1000 shows in the past 4 years have made Zach Deputy one of the most in-demand performers on the grassroots festival circuit and a big hit on the national club circuit.
Universal Sigh is a high energy, metamorphic rock show. Hailing from Athens, GA the foursome features a two-guitar attack and driving rhythm section, producing versatile music which reflects a deep fondness for artists such as Radiohead, Snarky Puppy, and Umphrey’s McGee. Influenced by a myriad of musical styles, the quartet has crafted a diverse catalog, which includes both lyrical tunes and instrumental arrangements. Each song is a voyage, with harmonious melodies soaring through epic peaks and dramatic descents into electrifying funk grooves. Fluid and dynamic, the Sigh is equipped with an abundance of compositions to energize any musical atmosphere.
The Orange Constant
The Orange Constant formed in August 2012 and quickly made a name for themselves in Statesboro, GA. Now, The Orange Constant resides in Athens, GA and performs in venues all over the Southeast and continues to grow their fan-base with their contemporary yet vintage rock/jam sound. TOC recorded their debut album, Time to Go, with Grammy nominated producer John Keane (REM, Widespread Panic) which was released June 19th, 2015. Time to Go has garnered praise from many publications, including Relix Magazine, who included TOC in their “On the Verge” column in the October-November 2015 issue. Shortly after, TOC joined the Homegrown Music Network whose roster includes acts such as Lotus, the Motet, Dangermuffin, and Big Something. In addition, they have played on bills that include Perpetual Groove, The Mantras, TAUK, Atlas Road Crew, and Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band.
They recorded their second album titled Point of Reference at Chase Park Transduction with Drew Vandenberg (of Montreal, Kishi Bashi, Mothers) in late 2016. Point of Reference released on March 24th, 2017 and is now available on iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp, and here on the official website.
The Orange Constant draws influence from many different styles to create a musical experience that is new and unique. The Orange Constant thrives on creating songs that differ from one another and possess their own inspired character. Their songs follow no specific writing format, allowing the band to run with any ideas that bring the music to life. Fans are often drawn to their ability to meld progressive composition and improvisation with a pop-like sensibility. The band’s lyrics often include content that reveals personal values and experiences. This allows the band to groove with meaning and depth. Being influenced by bands such as My Morning Jacket, Widespread Panic, and Incubus, TOC focuses their energy on live performances that resonate deeply with the audience. The band consists of Andrew Brantley (guitar/vocal), Nickalous Benson (guitar/vocal), Tyler Walker (bass/vocal), Chris Freiberg (keyboard), and Sam Groveman (drums),
“Eclectic rock n’ roll, everything from blissful southern rock and indie jams to urban funk.” – Grant Purvis (Point of Reference review)
“The Orange Constant’s confident and polished debut album Time to Go is laden with connective riffs and melodious charm. Much of the album evokes a 70’s FM AOR vibe, without appearing self conscious” – Larson Sutton, Relix Magazine
“They have hit a home run on their first trip to the plate. From the first strains of “Emily” all the way through to the jammed-out coda to “Ask Me to Jump,” Time to Go is a pure delight. You will hear influences throughout the disk, but this is fresh and exciting.” – Scott Hopkins, Music Fest News
We're a band. And what we care about most is introducing you to new music.
We're recording a song every two weeks. We dig up thousands of musics and put them in a very small cauldron. Much of what goes in is psychedelic and danceable. Much of what comes out is ocean noise, but we're working hard to make it something you'll like.
If you're curious, we handmade our website so you can talk to us. It's partials.co
