Mobley, ANML, Bikini Trill

Cutting vocals in the woods behind his college dorm. Mixing in the backseat of a sedan. Sneaking into the music department after hours to teach himself to play new instruments (and sneaking out before the faculty arrived in the morning). From the start, Mobley's work has been marked by solitude, ingenuity, and a drive that could only be called obsessive. Whether you experience the Austin-based artist on record or at one of his incomparable one-man band concerts, the passion is palpable in every aspect. He singlehandedly writes, performs, & produces his music, designs his artwork, directs his videos, produces his multimedia live shows, and even builds new instruments to carry out his vision.

Most recently, he's composed dozens of pieces for stage and television (HBO, Fox, NBC), played hundreds of US and international tour dates (with the likes of Phantogram, JUNGLE, Cold War Kids, Mutemath & Robert Delong and at festivals like ACL, SXSW, CMJ, Savannah Stopover and Float Fest), and recorded (then scrapped) two albums in pursuit of the songs that would become his next release, Fresh Lies, Vol. I. The music -- which Mobley calls "post-genre pop" -- defies easy classification, but uses the familiar form of love songs to explore the intricacies of his relationship with his country. The project is the first installment of what Mobley envisions as a career-spanning song cycle addressing the theme, with plans to release a volume for each generation of his family since his ancestors were first brought to the continent.

Whether her music has slipped into your consciousness behind hit TV shows including Fox’s Lucifer, VICE, The Royals, Wentworth, BULL, So You Think You Can Dance, Mustangs FC, the trailer for VICELANDS’ World of Sports, Black Market, Reed Krakoff adds, or from her visually stunning live multi-media concerts, ANML’s message is strong, her voice is quirkily recognizable, and her passion is contagious. This Canadian born, LA based singer/songwriter/producer isn’t afraid to walk the edge in sound and in vision.

Puking rainbows, gun to head, exploding animals, human road kill, a pregnant woman on a cross… she will put herself in the way of comfort in order to bring her message, vision and feelings into the forefront, displayed through her lovingly charming Canadian personality, and fierce stage presence.
ANML’s live show utilizes interactive 3D mapped visuals projected onto a human-animal sized cage which surrounds her. The show leads the audience through a journey from embryo into confinement and ultimately freedom creating a one of a kind performance, featuring her live band comprised of 3 drummers and a small choir.

The first single and video off her forthcoming ep RELEASE! went out on Oct 3rd 2017, reaching millions in its first month, with the help of a poignant feature by BUZZFEED. ANML’s newest 6 song ep, plunges into the unavoidable letting-go’s of life; from death to reawakening, while living true to her coined genre, “avant-witch-pop”.

Formed in January of 2016, Bikini Trill are a surf-pop trio from Los Angeles, California.

The group seamlessly blend electronic, hip-hop drums, skank island guitars, and powerful pop vocals to create a fresh sound that has been compared to the likes of No Doubt, Dirty Heads, and The XX.

The name 'Bikini Trill' is a nod to the various musicians and genres from which they draw inspiration- combining the Riot Grrrl punk mentality of Bikini Kill with current urban and trap influences.

In March 2017, the trio embarked on their 1st SXSWhatever tour in Austin, Texas- playing a total of 8 shows over the course of 5 days including performances at Texas Wildfire Fest and The Future of Music Showcase.

On April 20th the group released their first music video for their debut single 'Sticky Treez'. Filmed in various locations across central Los Angeles and at an art installation in Jean, Nevada called Seven Magic Mountain, the video features a mix of colorful footage and animation. Shortly after the videos release, Bikini Trill released their second single 'Over & Over' which was described as "Glittering Dub-Pop Magic" by indie music blog Nest HQ.
