The spirit winds blown by the breath of fate, have brought these five musicians together. Home’s members hail from CO, WI, and TX, creating a diverse collection of musical styles and sounds, from Brazilian choro to So cal punk. Their “Folkadelic*Jamgrass*Funkplosion” is augmented with roots in reggae and creative improvisation taking the audience on a sonic journey through imaginative passages, with soaring melodic harmonies, and passionate words of inspiration and freedom.
Since the bands inception in early 07, Home has taken the Denver music scene by storm. They have been nominated by The Westword magazine as one of the top 5 jam bands in CO for two years in a row, won the judges vote in a battle of the bands with over 100 groups, and won two more battles earning them spots at both Summer Camp and Wakarusa music festivals.
Home is no stranger to the road. They have toured extensively throughout the past 2 1/2 years covering the Midwest and Texas, including performances at many music festivals such as- Wakarusa(x2), Summer Camp, 10KLF, and Kan’Nal’s Dreamtime, with main stage spots at Wookie Foot’s Harvest Fest(x2), Project Earth, and Bella Madre.
After a two year hiatus, Home will be reuniting this November for a show at Snake River Saloon in Keystone. Weather or not, this will be one amazing show, or the beginning of a world tour, we do not know. We're leaving that one up to the universe!
Diverse musical backgrounds shape the Aqua Phellem sound to take audiences on a musical journey through time and space. Formed in 2013, Aqua Phellem has made a commitment to stay true to pure improvisation exploration while anchoring the band's foundation in the roots of a psychedelic mix of rock, funk and jazz fusion. Through countless jam sessions held at an undisclosed location in Denver, the band has crafted it's own sound with a strong influence of improvisation rock mixed with elements of funk and jazz. The band continues to add original music to it's large repertoire as well as interesting cover songs reexamined in the Aqua Phellem spirit. Based on the band members deep interest in pure improvisation music, you'll be sure to be immersed in extended jams that interweave a kaleidoscope of musical styles and influences.
Sky Pond's sound sounds like psychedelic jazz fusion sounds. Formed in Boulder CO, Mike, Nyal, Jack and Garrett are currently playing in Boulder and Denver
