The Split Seconds
Formed in 2015, The Split Seconds exploded onto the DC music scene with their unique style of no-frills classic pop-punk.
Frontman Drew Champion sought to put together a project combining the energy of late-70's Punk with undertones of 60's pop and garage rock. Joined by drummer Sean Peterson, bassist Tristan Sahwell, and guitarist Alex Massi, The Split Seconds brought their sound to enthusiastic audiences at DC-area punk clubs including DC9, The Velvet Lounge, The Electric Maid, The Sidebar, and house venues.
Hailed as "top notch punk rock" by Jonathan Goodwin of the Deli NY Magazine, The Split Seconds' music has been featured on Punknews.org, PureVolume.com, BlankTV, WMUC Third Rail Radio, WAMU’s “Bandwidth”, and DC’s Hometown Sounds Podcast.
3-piece pop punk band from Baltimore
"Another Year" marks the second effort by brothers Andre and Augusto Pagliarini, collectively known as Boardroom Heroes. The album offers twelve short bursts of smart verses, sing-a-long choruses and velocity - lots of velocity. Had it been written in the late nineties, Another Year would be right at home along side NOFX's "So Long and Thanks for all the Shoes" and Lagwagon's "Let's Talk About Feelings"; but in 2012, it sounds furious and fresh. "Another Year" was picked up by the New York based indie label Sinking Ship Records, and Andre and Augusto recruited friends Stephen Parsons and Drew Champion on guitars. Boardroom Heroes recently finished recording an EP with Brian McTernan (Hot Water Music, Strike Anywhere), the first time they have recorded with a full band. The EP is set to be release early 2014.
