Battle of the Divas

This long running Brooklyn show pits two of the greatest divas against each other to settle it once and for all.

Hosted by Matteo Lane and Christi Chiello

Feat. DJ Molly Austin

Matteo Lane

Matteo Lane is a New York-based comedian, originally from Chicago.  Matteo is in the new Comedy Central series THE COMEDY JAM, and also recently performed on LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS and Comedy Central’s ADAM DEVINE’S HOUSE PARTY.  He can also be seen on MTV’s GIRL CODE and MTV2’s GUY CODE, and the IFC holiday special AT JOE’S PUB alongside Tony Hale and the Dap Kings.  Matteo is also currently developing an IFC digital series that he will both write and star in, and an animated project with Titmouse.  In 2014, Matteo was selected to be a New Face at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.  Before starting stand up, Matteo lived in Italy as an oil painter and opera singer.

Christi Chiello

Have you ever taken a bite of a cupcake only to find it's full of razor blades? That's Christi! Armed with a ridiculous love for pop culture and obsession with "human connection"; Christi's comedy takes you on a fervent journey into the horny life of the girl behind the cartoonish voice! Half parts cuteness and savagery, Christi's comedy explores all the breakUPS, breakDOWNS and breakTHROUGHS that have made her comedy's angel bitch! Christi made her Comedy Central debut on Jeff Ross's Roast Battle, opposite legend Jimmy Carr and was just named a 'New Face of Comedy' at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. She co-hosts Battle of the Divas at Union Hall with Matteo Lane and has a one woman show "It's Christi, B*tch!" at Ars Nova. You can hear Christi as Baby Saffron in the upcoming animated series 'Pinkalicious and Peterrific' on PBS starting in February!

Molly Austin

Molly Austin is a stand up comic in nyc. She has been featured on Tru tv's Late Night Snack as part of her comedy duo Austin Martinez Comedy. She and Christi are bffs and she doesn't really like it when people sneeze.

Peter Smith

Peter is a non-binary trans person making their way through showbiz.

Cole Escola

Cole Escola is a comedian, actor, and writer. One of the 2014 OUT 100 and Time Out New York's Top Ten Downtown Cabaret Performers.
