Anthony Da Costa
He’s no secret in or out of Music City, but Anthony da Costa is an artist who is more than ready to be signed and take the world by storm. Playing textural electric guitar with a tidy bass and drum backing, he dazzled. His voice can float or penetrate. His songs can brush like a feather or hammer with power...There are not many triple threats like this guy." - The Bluegrass Situation
Anthony da Costa is a singer/songwriter/guitarist living in Nashville, TN. Originally hailing from Pleasantville, NY, Anthony has been writing and performing his songs since he was thirteen. At the age of sixteen, Anthony became the youngest winner ever of both the Falcon Ridge and Kerrville Folk Festival songwriting competitions. His latest release is DA COSTA, a self-produced album which was recorded in Austin, TX and features contributions from Aaron Lee Tasjan and Devon Sproule, as well as members of Okkervil River, Ben Kweller, and Eric Johnson. Sing Out! Magazine once called him “an outstanding writer of plainspoken Americana.”
Anthony has opened for Loretta Lynn, Dan Bern, Judy Collins, Suzanne Vega, Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), John Moreland, Kenny Loggins and other awesome folks like that. Anthony spent 2016 as the touring guitarist and harmony singer for Aoife O’Donovan (Crooked Still, Prairie Home Companion) and can currently be found playing alongside Grammy Award-winning songwriter Sarah Jarosz.
