Cat Pierce, formerly of The Pierces, has begun to carve out a name for herself as a solo artist. With 2 top ten albums in the UK and a theme song to the hit show Pretty Little liars under The Pierces' belt, Cat has gone on to have her own success with her song "You Belong To Me" featured on the CW show "Riverdale". The song quickly surpassed one million plays on Spotify and continues to gain traction.
Splitting her time between Los Angeles and NYC, Cat is currently working on a full length album with Roger Greenawalt who produced The Pierces cult favorite "Thirteen Tales of Love & Revenge".
A self proclaimed psychedelic, spiritual explorer, Cat has spent the past few years visiting the jungles of Peru, the deserts of Joshua tree, and hills of Hollywood, delving inward via meditation and psychedelic plants. These adventures reveal a fresh perspective on Cat as an individual artist and writer. Her songs pull from a multitude of life experiences ranging from the trepidations of being a woman in the modern world to the heartache of being in love with a heroin addict, to the peace she's found battling her depression and anxiety through unconventional methods. With lyrics that are wise, witty, and cutting and melodies that swing from elation to melancholy within a single song, Cat has grown into a unique and undeniable artist.
Swimsuit Issue is a seven-person American rock band fronted by model Miles Garber and David Gagliardi, who also plays guitar for punk band Trash Talk. The two founded the group after meeting at a New Jersey music conservatory in the summer of 2016. They initially bonded over an affinity for 90's British rock and later realized they both also were exactly six feet tall.
Based between New York and Los Angeles, the band is composed of several musicians playing instruments with one another. The band’s first single, “Look Now,” is an homage to guitarist Gagliardi’s late optometrist father who was also a musician.
When asked to describe Swimsuit Issue’s sound, Garber says, “It’s somewhere between hot running water and cold running water.”
The band has played at a number of interesting venues since its first live performance in early 2017, including the Resident Los Angeles, Manhattan’s Space Market, and Boone, Iowa.
Stay tuned for the band's debut EP slated for release later this year.
Sisters Amanda and Julianna Salguero make up the twin chambers of King Willow’s wistfully beating heart. With a sound some have likened to The Head and the Heart and First Aid Kit, their original music shows a range from slower huskier numbers to upbeat and clever pop anthems. The Salguero sisters lure you in with their vulnerability, sultry harmonies, and glossy nostalgic finish. Self-effacing and warm, their sound invites you in on all of life's best jokes.
