"For those apt to bop a little harder than the average indie show goer, War Twins serves as a sanctuary."
War Twins has become known for their dynamic live set full of passionate energy, rock n' roll soul and deep electronics. A growing buzz has taken them from their hometowns on the east coast to a string of successful nationwide tours and their new home in Los Angeles.
The duo was founded by singer/songwriter Gaetana and drummer/producer James Grey. Beginning in early 2013, the band built a bed in the back of a ‘98 Plymouth Voyager, and promoted their first demo on a tour that took them to over eighty cities. Since, they've performed close to 500 shows across the country to date.
Most recently, War Twins has supported international acts such as Wolf Alice, Alien Ant Farm and Filter,
with additional performances at SXSW, Catskill Chill, Slingshot and other festivals.
Thanks to the help of their fast growing community, through crowd-funding, War Twins spent time in late November 2017 recording some of their newest music with grammy award winning producer, Sylvia Massy (Prince/ Johnny Cash/ Red Hot Chili Peppers), which will be released in early 2018.
Born and raised in the shadow of New York City, naturally Micky had a taste for the theatrical and aspired to become an artist and performer from a young age. In his music and personal style, Micky James explores a sound and aesthetic that is nostalgic of a bygone era in rock n roll music, while still maintaining a contemporary pop ambition. Micky's unique vocals are reminiscent of great character voices such as David Bowie and Julian Casablancas, alluding to the dark, mysterious, and romantic qualities that are so distinct to those artists. While Micky's flamboyant fashions evoke the glamour and swagger of past rock icons, his work is both equal parts style and substance.
Medusa's Disco is a very peculiar, high energy, psychedelic rock band from Lancaster,
Pennsylvania that has been captivating audiences for 5 years. Within this time,
the band has released three full length albums and two EPs. They have played in
performed at multiple music festivals on the east coast, and toured across the
United States, all while leaving deep and memorable impressions in their wake. Fusing together elements of psychedelic, surf, stoner, indie, progressive, punk rock and even some jazz nuances, Medusa's Disco merges classic and newer rock influences; everything from Led Zeppelin to Primus to Queens of the Stone Age.
Their live performances are a spectacle for the eyes
and ears. In the forefront are the twin lead guitars and vocals of Hunter Root
and Wynton Huddle, whose harmonies have an almost enchanting quality that harkens
back to the likes of Alice in Chains and Led Zeppelin. Wynton is known for his
onstage antics which can include everything from donning lipstick and devil
horns to entering the crowd and rolling around on the turf while belting lyrics
upward to the faces of the audience members around him. Hunter’s approach is
more subtle, but no less intense, as he whips his hair about and flails his
body in time with the music he creates. The rhythm section is at full force with Anthony Procopio on Bass and Alex Aument on drums, passionately pounding out every note and even contributing the construction of the musical material. Medusa is expecting a new album with their current set up soon.
The band is Hell-bent on making sure Rock n' Roll is here to stay.
