Band Aparte is Los Angeles duo consisting of Brian Mendoza and Tara Jane. Their music comes from a wide range of influences that include New Order, Dead Kennedy's, Nick Cave, Sonic Youth and many more. Band Aparte's live shows are known to be very energetic, cathartic, and noisy. They can be caught live most often in Los Angeles and Long Beach alongside some of the best upcoming bands.
"Well-dressed singer Brian Mendoza likes to attack his audience, while crushing roses and shaking his pompadour like a Latino Elvis gone nutso. He's also one of L.A.'s most fearless and unhinged performers, which is refreshing in a scene littered with depressed Kurt Cobain clones"

"Strips down and combines elements of gothic rock, synthpunk, and beachy lo-fi ...effortlessly channels Joy Division and Nick Cave, Band Aparte's shows are fast and fierce, and the crowd works up a sweat at every venue they play" The Deli Magazine
"Atmospheric voltages provided by diverse genre charms of darkwave, new romantic, synthpop and post-punk excellence. It has a tremendous respect and justice for those remarkable late 70’s-80’s post-punk/obscure new wave era magnificences" Forkster
"The first time I saw Ghost Noise play was at a Morrissey-themed burlesque show, which is fitting, given that the Mancunian crooner and the L.A. trio share a penchant for melancholy and flowers. The similarities end there, however. Ghost Noise's sound owes more to that period when Joy Division re-emerged as New Order and post-punk evolved into new wave. Members John Casey Connolly, Gawby Weinstein and Josh Dean all play guitars and synths and adorn their stage with fake floral bou-quets. Dean provides the beats while Connolly and Weinstein trade off on dramatic, controlled vocals. Even at their danciest, on tracks like "Father and Fainter" and "A Shadow Without You," they hit forlorn notes, matching the sadness of the stories that unfold in their songs. The three-year-old band released its second full-length, Our Heaven of Darkness, in December." - Liz Ohanesia, LA Weekly, "10 L.A. Artists to Watch in 2016"
"Dark, synth driven ice pop that you can sing/shiver right along to." - Oh My Rockness, "L.A.'s Hardest Working Bands of 2015"
Influenced by modern Cold-Wave and drawing deeply from early Post-Punk, Day by Day is meant to transport you into a state of introspective bliss.
WVM is an American artist from Los Angeles. The name, WVM, is not an acronym, the letters don’t actually stand for anything. The debut album “The End Is Only the Beginning” was mixed by Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson) who also invited WVM to record vocals at his private Blue Room Studio. The album was released in 2013 and features Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Tweaker) and Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle) playing drums on various songs.
