Andy Lentz and Danny Chaves (former Mad Cow String Band)
Since their formative years with The Mad Cow String Band over a decade ago, Andy Lentz (fiddle) & Danny Chaves (guitar, banjo) have always found a strong synergy in their playing.
Following that beginning in bluegrass, both musicians branched out into different styles. Danny dug deep into western swing with his band, the Heel Draggers, and has been called upon frequently for his multi-instrumental talents by bands like roots orchestra The Dustbowl Revival and Hawaiian jazz combo The Alcatraz Islanders.
Meanwhile, Andy went on to engage in an eclectic mix of music on the road and in the studio with various groups, including The Devil Makes Three, The Brothers Comatose, Rita Hosking, and The West Nile Ramblers.
Recently reunited following Andy’s six years living in Austin, TX, the duo continues their musical conversation, informed and energized by their individual explorations.
