DONCAT is Duncan Nielsen, a San Francisco based songwriter and performer with a penchant for rock, soul and folk stylings. His songs draw from the deep history of California counter-culture music and discuss both the hope and uncertainty of the American dream in kaleidoscopic cynicism.
"Superbly laid back Laurel Canyon style psych-folk"
"Wonderfully downcast, with Doncat's gentle poetry matched against a hazy, never-rushed arrangement."-Clash Magazine
KING DREAM (video release)
JD Lyon is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter specializing in an Americana inspired mix of classic rock, soul, and indie music. He is most commonly known for his work fronting Tumbleweed Wanderers, which he founded in 2011. The band released two albums, three EPs, toured with acts such as Greensky Bluegrass and The Revivalists, and played festivals such as Outside Lands and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.
As a solo singer songwriter, Lyon’s songs are unique, as they don’t tell a story, but rather "reflect on a headspace in a moment". His songs are lyrically rich, but infused with a soulful energy that sets him apart.
