Erin Livingston is a versatile jazz, r&b and blues singer and is the Artist in Resident at the premiere St. Paul Hotel every Saturday night, 7p-11p where she shares her songbook with some of the Twin Cites top jazz pianists. With her full band, Erin can be found performing in venues all over town. She is also a teacher and clinician of voice and classical flute. Her powerful voice has been described as smokey, sultry and honey with a dash of pepper.
Erin's true passion is cabaret. Her shows entertain with stories and songs that speak to everyone and every experience. She coined the term "Social Justice Cabaret" which speaks to current social issues and recently performed her one-woman cabaret show addressing homelessness at Patrick's Cabaret in South Minneapolis.
Erin is also a classically trained flutist and was pursuing her Associate's Degree in Classical flute Performance at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music while still in high school. She currently teaches flute and provides vocal coaching from her home studio.
The Wolverines Jazz Trio
The remaining trio of the legendary Twin Cities Wolverines Big Band which started in 1973. The trio can frequently be found swinging with vocalists at hot spots like Hell's Kitchen and Crooners Lounge & Supper Club. "Consisting of drummer Jendeen Forberg, pianist Rick Carlson, and bassist Steve Pikal, the trio develops its set list from audience requests, making each show unpredictable and improvisational."
