Bridget Everett has been called one of the "Funniest People in New York" by Time Out. Her film, theater and television credits include Inside Amy Schumer, Two Broke Girls, Sex And The City (movie), The Bleep Show w/Whitney Cummings, Bridget and Neal are F*cking and Adam Is Watching, At Least It’s Pink, and most recently a guest spot at Carnegie Hall performing with the legendary Patti Lupone. Bridget has appeared at Montreal and Chicago's Just For Laughs Festival, HBO's Aspen United States Comedy Arts Festival, The Adelaide International Cabaret Festival, The San Francisco Sketchfest, FunFunFun and The New York Comedy Festival. Bridget and her band The Tender Moments just released their debut album (“POUND IT”)and play to sold-out crowds across the country.
Negin Farsad was named one of the 50 Funniest Women by the Huffington Post, named one of the 10 Best Feminist Comedians by Paper Magazine, and was selected as a TEDFellow for her work in social justice comedy. She has written for/appeared on Comedy Central, MTV, PBS, IFC, Nickelodeon and others. She is director/producer of the feature films Nerdcore Rising starring Weird Al Yankovicand The Muslims Are Coming! starring Jon Stewart, David Cross and Lewis Black (both available on Netflix). Her next film 3rd Street Blackout, starring Janeane Garofalo and Ed Weekswill be released in 2016 along with a book How to Make White People Laugh (published by Grand Central, a division of Hachette).
Jo Firestone is a Brooklyn-based comedian whose work can be seen on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Joe Pera Talks With You, The Chris Gethard Show, and heard on Earwolf and WFMU. Her half hour special aired on Comedy Central in 2016, and her album, "The Hits" is available now on Comedy Central Records. Jaclyn Friedman is a writer, educator and activist, and creator of three books Yes Means Yes: Visions of Female Sexual Power and a World Without Rape (one of Publishers’ Weekly’s Top 100 Books of 2009), What You Really Really Want: The Smart Girl’s Shame-Free Guide to Sex & Safety, and her latest, Unscrewed: Women, Sex, Power and How to Stop Letting the System Screw Us All. Her podcast, also called Unscrewed, is paving new paths to sexual liberation, and was named one of the Best Sex Podcasts by both Marie Claire and Esquire.
Jon Glaser is an actor, comedian and writer. He created and starred in Neon Joe Werewolf Hunter, a mini-series which recently aired on adult swim. He played Councilman Jamm in Parks and Recreation, and Laird on Girls. He was an Emmy nominated writer for Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Inside Amy Schumer, the creator and star of the adult swim series Delocated, and the author of My Dead Dad Was in ZZ Top.
NYC nightlife legend, comedian, and renowned entertainer MURRAY HILL, “the hardest working middle-aged man in show business,” is a relentless shtick slinger, larger-than-life personality and freewheeling ad-libber. Murray’s razor sharp wit and frenetic showman antics have delighted folks worldwide for over a decade. Sally Kohn is one of the leading progressive voices in America today. The author of THE OPPOSITE OF HATE (April 2018, Algonquin) and host of STATE OF RESISTANCE podcast, Sally is a CNN political commentator and columnist. Before that, she was a Fox News contributor — and before that worked for over 15 years as a community organizer. Sally's writing has appeared in the Washington Post, New York Times, New York Magazine, More Magazine, RollingStone.com, Elle.com, USA Today, Time, Afar Magazine and many other outlets. She's also a popular keynote speaker and frequently leads media and speaking skills workshops for grassroots activists and corporate leaders.
Aparna Nancherla is a comedian and general silly billy. Her sense of humor is dry, existential, and absurd, with notes of uncalled-for whimsy. Think a wine you didn’t order.
Currently, Aparna plays Grace the belabored HR rep on the Comedy Central show, Corporate and has also reprised her role in Season 2 of HBO’s Crashing. She was featured in the second season of Netflix’s The Standups. . Other television credits include Netflix’s Master of None and LOVE, HBO’s High Maintenance, Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer and appearing as a US correspondent for Dave’s (UK) Unspun with Matt Forde. In 2018 she makes her feature debut in the Paul Feig movie A Simple Favor. Her TV stand up appearances include CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden, TBS’s CONAN, Seeso’s stand up series Night Train with Wyatt Cenac, as well as multiple appearances on Comedy Central.
In 2016, she released her debut album, Just Putting It Out There, on Tig Notaro’s label, Bentzen Ball Records, and recorded a half hour special for Comedy Central. In that same year, Elle’s Women in Comedy Issue, featured Aparna as one of the most exciting new voices to hit the comedy scene. Aparna currently is writing and performing standup in NY, LA and all over the country!

This Brooklyn bump-n-grind bombshell has spread the gospel of burlesque across the globe. The New Yorker calls Angie, “first rate, the perfect centerpiece!” and rightfully so, as her signature acts and productions set standards of style and class.

PERSISTICON is the passion project of Diana Kane, Theo Kogan, Lynn Harris, and Leslie King, who are here to take ACTION, build COMMUNITY, make IMPACT, and have FUN. PERSISTICON's inaugural event will support Emily's List and thus ELECT FEMINISTS. Future events will raise money/a ruckus for other key progressive causes.
