Joe Kaplow & Scott Ferreter - An Evening of Songs and Stories (($10 before/$15 day of show))
65 Capp Street
San Francisco, CA, 94103
Doors 7:30 PM / Show 8:00 PM (event ends at 10:30 PM)
Joe Kaplow was foaled and raised on a thoroughbred horse farm. Like all good farm boys he spend his days doing chores like painting fences and mucking stalls, and playing in the fields with his faithful dog, Shadow. At night, after a good washing and a proper supper, Kaplow learned music from his family on the back porch where they would play for hours. Kaplow now resides in Santa Cruz, and is currently sitting in a coffee shop.
In 1989, Mary K. Ferreter watched the movie, Big, and laughed so hard that a baby came out. He was named Scott Elliot Ferreter. He spent the next six years learning to speak and pronounce his name. Another six years later, his uncle gave him a 30-year-old Ventura guitar. Now, a decade later, the guitar is deeply scratched and deeply loved, and Scott Ferreter has many handfuls of songs and many handfuls of friends to play them for.
