Curse the Fall
Determination, passion, and unwavering will… These three things are what constitute the foundation of Oklahoma City’s CURSE THE FALL. Throw in a fierce DIY ethos on top of that, and you have a band of musicians that is willing to obliterate any obstacle that decides to stand in the way. Founded in late 2013, the quartet has been making a name for itself on the dusty, heat-scorched streets of the Oklahoma City metro area. The band has decades of collective experience running through its veins due to its members being seasoned music veterans. CURSE THE FALL has performed with multiple national acts including DROWNING POOL, GEMINI SYNDROME, DOPE and FLAW, and has been featured on multiple radio stations across the globe such as ROCK 100.5 THE KATT (OK), ARFM in London, England, 98.7 KHOWL (OK), 103.3 ROCKS TEMECULA (CA), METAL MOOSE RADIO (OK), and STONE CHROME RADIO (FL). CURSE THE FALL has recently been lauded for their debut album, "Aphelion" in UK press and has been making their mark in the Midwest region with frequent live performances in Oklahoma and Texas. The quartet has recently been endorsed by DIRTBAG CLOTHING and COLDCOCK WHISKEY. The band includes the expertise of Dewayne Clifton on vocals (WAITING FOR DECAY, LOCK SEVENTEEN, SOULSIK, SEVERED), Brian Carrigan on guitar (EXITIUM, NAHURAK, FROM WORM TO MAN, AWAKEN THE ENEMY, LOCK SEVENTEEN), and Nick Cebalo on bass (NAHURAK, FROM WORM TO MAN). In November 2014, CTF filmed its first official video for its single “Pieces,” which was shot and edited completely DIY, and has been followed by multiple follow up videos. In addition to this, CURSE THE FALL released their debut full length album entitled "Aphelion" on 4-1-16 via their own imprint FINAL LEGION RECORDS.
In the Varient
Being "In The Variant" is a term we've coined to express the times in our lives where we step away from our norm- our comfort zones- and we branch out to other possibilities with creativity, love, thought, and so much more. Our music is as honest an expression of that concept as we can muster. Some of our influences are obvious and some not so obvious and it's within our own variant that we feel we've found a sound that embodies familiarity and comfort yet is unique and challenging for each of us. As selfish as any artistic venture is, we really do hope we can change a world view for people as we grow and learn from each other. Melting faces with some sick bass licks never hurt either!
Subzenith of Aurora Colorado formed in the summer of 2016 when guitarists Dustin King, Matt McLean, and drummer Josh Greenly were searching for members to complete a new project with a hard hitting and motivating sound. Shortly after they recruited Thomas Sierra - who was serving overseas in the Army - to play bass. Needing a singer, they placed an ad and Patrick Rikki Chauvin - who was a looking for a band he could truly express himself with - came into the fold with strong dedication and a promising voice. Over the next year, the band wrote, practiced and rehearsed on a strict timeline and during the process many of Subzenith's members experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in their personal lives. Those emotions are on display in the music Subzenith have produced. With topics such as addiction, introspection, betrayal and full-on rage, Subzenith has something that any fan of hard rock and heavy metal music can enjoy and relate to. Unfortunately, over time Thomas Sierra was no longer able to fully perform his duties as a full-time member of Subzenith. Still a valuable and dedicated member of the Subzenith team, he has moved over to become its full-time manager. After trying out a few bassists, Pinky Salyer was brought aboard to fulfill those duties and has brought with him a monster low end to round out the group.
Currently Subzenith is working on thier debut EP and a demo version of one of its tracks - Breathe You In - can be found on soundcloud.
