Slyboots means one who is cunning or mischievous in an engaging way. We are a female fronted band that plays melodic pop rock.
Joe Holt is a folk singer/songwriter who graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2015. Joe has released two EPs and two full length albums. He has toured around America three times, playing venues like Club Passim (Boston), the Hard Rock Cafe (Boston), Rockwood Music Hall (NYC), the Bluebird Cafe (Nashville), the Whisky A Go Go (Los Angeles) and has received airplay on over 60 radio stations internationally, charting across the country at numbers as high as #3 in MA and #2 in CA. Indie Minded praised Joe as “a gifted young talent who is sure to leave his mark on the folk music scene.” Other credits include opening for nationally touring acts including Parker Millsap, Davina and the Vagabonds, and Ian Fitzgerald, scoring the short film The Race, and driving 13,000 miles in a month. Joe lives in New York City. Find his music on iTunes, Spotify, and Amazon.
Alan Chapell is a unique character – even by the standards of the West Village in NYC. His Indie Rock sound blends poppy synth lines (played by the best fiddle player north of the Mason-Dixon) with Americana bass and guitars with a punkish Neutral Milk Hotel vibe thrown in for good measure. It took Chapell a while to get here, but audiences across the Northeastern U.S. are starting to take notice. Supporting his soon to be released album Soul Man, Chapell is starting to open for much larger bands like Big Head Toddand Gin Blossoms. Chapell’s live show is a carnival-like spectacle. Check Chapell out at DROM – as Chapell won’t be playing NYC again any time soon.
