Yoga in at The Underground
1500 19th Street NW
Washington, DC, 20036
For over a half decade, Ramona has used yoga as a tool in the process of holistic healing and growth.
She quickly discovered that the moving meditation was so much more than a lifestyle compliment to a busy worklife and workout regime. Yoga became a source of mental and physical growth on and off of the yoga mat, which inspired Ramona to integrate yoga into all aspects of her life, whether in a studio or non-traditional space.
As yoga became a tool for physical and mental therapy, it also became a daily personal practice tha she aims to share with others as a tool to increase flexibility, strength, clarity, and most of all fun.
Ramona completed her 200-hour RYT credentials at School Yoga Institute in Costa Rica. Now as a Registered Experienced Yoga Teacher (E-RYT), Ramona enjoys sharing her practice with students at numerous studios and events in the DMV area. Through the connection with breath and music, Ramona aims to incorporate an enjoyable, healthful, and balanced experience to her students.
This winter, Dupont Underground will present a new interactive yoga journey to compliment the video installation designed by Tim McLoraine. With layered videos and oversaturated colors, the pieces in this show have a richness and depth both visually and in their implied narrative. Every other Wednesday, we will enjoy a one hour, all-level yoga practice -- under ground -- in the colorful art-splashed hallways. Space is limited. BYO yoga mat. Light refreshments to follow every class.
