Odinfist has been around the Okanagan Valley for a number of years now and has praticipated in a variety of major shows in our area, including headling AOA 09 and AOA 10 along with co headlining on friday night of A0A 2011. As well we have played with a variety of other bands such as Kataklysm, Thor, 3 Inches of Blood, ect... Members of Odinfist are also very involved with the Okanagan Metal scene.
Based out of Kelowna, BC, Canada, ArkenFire fuses traditional and power metal together with elements from prog and thrash to create a truly unique listening experience. Each band member brings a wide range of influences to the table, and it shows in their music.
After leaving their previous project “Saints of Debauchery” which disbanded in 2010, Randy Peterson and Netto Figueiredo decided it was time to create the power metal project they always wanted. So in July 2011, they began working on new material under the name Souless Fate. They were joined by their good friend Taylor Blackstock on lead guitar and spent many months seeking a vocalist who could deliver the power they had envisioned. Finally, in a twist of fate, they were introduced to Jacob LeBlanc through a friend of theirs, and things started looking up for the four-piece.
Later that year, Taylor moved back to his home province, and a series of auditions for a new guitar player was held before finding Braden Morrison whom they met at a local show. The band was feeling great, and it was decided that they would change their name to celebrate the new path they were forging and to create a new image & sound for themselves. Thus, ArkenFire was born.
As time went on, ArkenFire focused on writing new material and tightening up their sound and even had some recordings-in-progress, but unfortunately, things were starting to slow down due to various personal reasons. Eventually, it was mutually decided that the project would be put on indefinite hiatus.
Fast forward to early 2015... Randy and Netto began jamming again and rekindling their passion for playing metal. They reached out to Jacob who was more than happy to join them for an impromptu session, and it was decided that ArkenFire would rise from the ashes once again.
Soon, a prospective guitar player named Ian Mccall reached out to them and after a few rehearsals, it was clear that ArkenFire was about to reach new heights. Feeling ready to conquer new territories, they set on a quest to find a bass player to fill out the low end of their sonic spectrum. Enter Milan Bertucci. Milan was a mutual friend who expressed interest in joining the group, and quickly adapted to their style while bringing his own thunderous tone and catchy bass lines.
ArkenFire has been gigging steadily since late 2015 and have three festivals under their belts: Armstrong Metal Fest 2016 & 2017 as well as Hell Raiser Fest. On May 12, 2017, they released their debut EP Celestial Beasts and spent the summer playing shows and promoting the album. The band is currently working on new material and planning out the new year.
A Vancouver based band playing a blend of Progressive, Power and Melodic death metal. For fans of Symphony X, Iced Earth, Dark Tranquillity.
Helion Prime was first conceived from a common love of metal and all things science. The band was founded when Jason Ashcraft (of Dire Peril) asked Heather Michele (of Graveshadow) to form a project with him. The concept; power metal with themes based on actual scientific theories with the occasional sci-fi tribute. The name Helion Prime was borrowed from an alien planet featured in the film "Chronicles of Riddick," a movie the two were great fans of. Helion Prime’s lineup was completed after bringing Jeremy Steinhouse on bass and Justin Herzer (of Axiom) on drums.
Heather Michele - Vocals
Jason Ashcraft - Guitars
Jeremy Steinhouse - Bass
Justin Herzer - Drums
