Sunny War

Sydney Ward, musically known as Sunny War is originally from Nashville, Tennessee and relocated to Los Angeles 13 years ago. She has received much attention from various notables for her music and has opened for Booker T Jones, Keb’ Mo’, Angelique Kidjo, Madeleine Peyroux, JJ Grey & Mofro, Mindy Smith, The Levon Helm Band, Eliza Gilkyson and Nagite Agindotan (Fela Kuti’s Africa 70) among others.

Sunny War has recorded two solo acoustic EP’s and one acoustic album. In 2009 she released a 15 song acoustic album titled “Sheep”, it was released only through social media. In 2011 and 2013 she self-released digitally the EP’s “Acoustic Sessions I” and “Worthless” respectively.

With 23 years, 25 US cities played and an international touring career that began in 2013 by playing five shows in Colombia and five in Brazil, Sunny War started to think on her next musical challenge. The touring and travel experiences helped her mature and polish her unique sound. There was an evolution, she wanted to play as a band to open new grounds and possibilities for her music.

In late 2013 Sunny War recorded in Miami, Florida her first non-acoustic album titled “Red, White & Blue”. Brian Rodriguez, her band-mate for 8 years in the folk-punk duo “Anus Kings” is on bass. Javier Delgado plays the drums; Delgado is the drummer of Miami’s two times Grammy nominated band Locos Por Juana.

The album was produced by Grammy nominated songwriter/producer Marthin Chan and mixed by Sebastian Peyrecabe, 2013 Grammy Winner for Best Engineered Album. The full length will feature nine songs with band and six acoustic recordings (vocals/guitar).

Edith Crash

Born in Perpignan during the eighties, Edith Crash moves to Spain one year before she turned 18. During the first period she travels from Barcelona to Madrid to study sound engineering for two years. Then the artist goes back to Barcelona where she starts to develop her music project. "Des Mots" (2010), her first EP, comes up in 2010. Even thought that was a debut, the record shows her skills as a musician and it attracted the attention of both critics and audience. The name Edith Crash starts a career in Barcelona with several live gigs. Discipline, perseverance and hard working became essential as the base of her own image, which led her to receive a music grant in 2011 by the Cases de la música, sala la Salamandra that ended up in the release of her first Album: "De L'autre Côté" (2011).

At that point in time her activity becomes frenetic, while her project gets solid with the same power the people perceive in her live shows. The grant Injuve Creación Joven and her tour all along the main stages in Spain, within the program AIE Artistas en Ruta, complete an intense and prolific year.

In 2012 she became part of reputed festivals where she combines her appearances in one of the most relevant worldwide scenarios dedicated to contemporary indie music, Primavera Sound Festival, as well as Let's Festival, with her official presentation in Argentina (Buenos Aires). This progression gets more solid along the year and in 2013 her music meets another huge passion: films. This way, Edith composes the score for the short film Aguas Santas, presented in the Short Film Corner of Cannes festival and the feature film "The Stray".

Edith's path has now led her to the United States and she has found herself in Los Angeles to work on the recording of her new album due out in the near future of 2013.
