A Jazz in the Ballroom Presentation
222 Mason Street
San Francisco, CA, 94102
Doors 3:30 PM / Show 5:00 PM
Versatile singer, trumpeter and bandleader, Chris Norton was influenced by the hypnotic jazz stylings of Louis Armstrong and Miles Davis. As Chris developed his craft, he found his voice—literally. The instrumentalist evolved into a talented vocalist as well. He has performed at NY Fashion Week, as well as for Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, headlined the 2016 Cannes Film Festival party, galas for the Whitney Museum and amfAR, corporate events for Omega, Montblanc, and Campari, and the NFL, giving each audience his expert interpretation of jazz standards.
Chris Norton will be joining forces with the Konrad Paszkudzki Trio, whose aesthetic can be summed up in three words: mood, sizzle and swing. Their sound is classic yet timeless in its mode of expression, captivating ardent lovers of the jazz idiom and Tin Pan Alley tradition alike. Following the release of their five songbook albums for Venus Records, the trio has developed a cult following on the streets of Japan, bringing back the feeling of a time when swingin’ piano trios were the popular music of their time.
